I invited 8 people over to watch Christian do this wrap on this car. I ran it up to a 78" TV and i wish you could hear what people are saying. All GOOD things with some expletives for good measure. This is an absolute riot to turn 8 people that didn't know what vinyl wrapping was when I told them. Oh, they know now lol. Every one of them wants a car wrap. What you're doing, Christian, is actually creating a generation of wrap appreciation. My best, Scott

You are a master at this! Really enjoy learning from watching you. I'm just trying to learn how to wrap. I'm definitely interested in this one since I have a 2015 Mustang. 👍🏼 I'm wanting to wrap my 5.0 emblems so looking forward to seeing how you wrap over those or if you take them off when you wrap the fenders.

So what do you do when the hood is a lot bigger than 60"? I want to do my C4 corvette myself and the hood is massive.
@TycoTyrannus5 жыл бұрын
I have an oversized hood and I just put a racing stripe on it. Turned a very large cumbersome piece into much smaller pieces with butt joints that are hidden due to different colors for the most part. Meaning you expect a line due to different colors so it isn't noticeable. Pin striping would also work. Anything that's a different color that breaks the hood into pieces.

Great Video!....... I have a 88 Dakota I would like to wrap.... It will be a learning experience for me, but I think I will enjoy taking on the project.... You are a good teacher!.......... One thing that really concerns me about this video... I have worked on cars and truck for over 43 years Glass, Trim, Sunroofs, etc and I can see no Coffee Pot visible in this tutorial......... What the heck??

What are the pros and cons of bridging and heating in that front corner? I feel like the method used in the video here produced a lot of stretching to overcome the bunching created from the rest of the hood's angles

Have you ever run into this using Avery Carbon Fiber film? I have a 64"x34" hood and I could wrap it front to back, but the roof is also wrapped and the pattern would be facing different directions. so I attempted to heat and stretch the film the 2 full inches on either side. While one side did exactly as it was supposed to, the other seemed to take some damage to what I imagine to be the adhesive underneath. you can only see it at certain light angles. Your thoughts?
@brown550614 жыл бұрын
OK so how do you wrap a track hood that's like 80"? I know some films come in 84" rolls but not many. The 64" roll seems to be the standard for all the new cool stuff. Putting a seam down the center seems really amateurish but I don't know how else you'd do it.

Hey! I am wrapping my boyfriends mustang and he has an extremely difficult hood. The color is matte army green 3M brand, I am running into the problem of small bubble like lifts in the vinyl that can’t be pressed out. It is also where I heated the vinyl into the channel. I haven’t post heated anything yet, what’s the best way to get them out? Thanks!
