I’m just having a tiled floor. I have a metal water stop at the door. It’s a small room 1.7 x3.4. Do I need another water stop closer to the shower? The shower is directly in front of the door.

Hi Zin, Thanks for watching! You need to refer to AS3740 and the BCA as the requirements for waterstops, the provisions for waterstops can be found here! Typically they are applies at the extremity of the showers and doorways but you should always reference the above! Happy waterprofing :)

What's a good primer for an aluminum water stop? Do you need one?

@@robtien7 Hi Regan, thanks for tuning in! If you are using a product such as the BRW PF Tape to seal the bottom leg of the water stop, there is no need to prime the surface. BRW PF Tape is a self-adhesive waterproof tape that will bond to clean, un-primed metals and general surfaces. The fleece facing provides a key for liquid membrane coatings to be applied directly over If you are applying a liquid membrane with standard reinforcing fabric, to seal the bottom leg, OP Primer can be used to prime the aluminium. OP is a fast-drying, water-based primer specifically designed with enhanced adhesion properties over non-absorbent surfaces including metals, ceramics and glass. Hope this helps! :)
