Succession planting is a great way to stagger the garden planting as well as the harvest. If you don't want bushels of produce coming in all at once, this is a great method for enjoying the harvest throughout the year.

I just direct sowed beans and cucumbers last night. I plan on direct sowing some lettuce and radishes tonight. I started my cabbage and kale and mustard greens indoors last night. This is the first time I am trying a fall garden and I am so excited.

Hi Milissa, I am very interested in your beans that have been grown in your family over 5 generations. I am in the process of researching foods from our past for a book.
