thank you sew much for your feedback. This presentation is from the early days of the pandemic when doing LIVES was quite new to me and my partner, who was filming me. For the M7, is it mandatory to buy the teflon foot for vinyl or plasticized fabric or is the acufeed foot sufficient? And should one also buy the 5 mm piping foot where it is not necessary. Can the zip foot replace it?

I have the Janome 9400 and like you, I love the HP 2 AcuFeed foot for piecing. My question is not about the AcyFeed foot but about the P setting on your machine. Does my machine have a setting some where, such as the P setting on your machine, to adjust the stitch length for piecing? If so, I have never found it.. I never sew with the default stitch length of 2.4 but every time I change the stitch length it throws my tension way off and I get loopy and skipped stitches and it takes me a lot of tries to get it correct.
@janomehqjanomecanada4908
@janomehqjanomecanada4908 3 жыл бұрын
HI Brenda. The Piecing stitches default to 1.8 stitch length, but you can still adjust using the plus or minus buttons on the screen. Changing length should affect your tension like that, so be double-check your thread path, and bobbin to ensure everything is thread correctly, with thread firmly in the tensions.

Yes! for INDIGO Skyline S9 or the original softer blue S9s IF it's been updated to Version 2. For more about the update, check out this link www.janome.ca/siteassets/products/machines/ca/sewing/skyline-s9/support/psa-s9v210udate-1120.pdf The update is ONLY for original S9 with soft blue accents - INDIGO S9 is already V2 so does NOT need updating to use the HP needle plate and foot.

Hello! Yes, the update for the MC15000 included an update to the computer software Horizon Link Suite to version 1.30 - in North America, the dealers were sent a link which they were to share with their customers who brought their machines in to be updated. Your dealer can contact Janome America tech. support if needed to provide the update to Horizon Link Suite.

I had a needle strike on my zig zag plate (MC 6650) and I can’t find a replacement anywhere. All I see is straight stitch plate and HP plate. I can’t even find the part number for the zig zag plate that came on the machine. There’s a nice chunk out of the oval where the needle goes back and forth. Help! Thank you so much!
@janomehqjanomecanada4908
@janomehqjanomecanada4908 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Michele. Most needle strikes can be gently smoothed using a soft emery cloth (hardware, auto parts stores, jewelers) but if you need a new needle plate, page 5 in your instruction manual lists the part number for the zig-zag needle plate, which you can order from any Janome dealer. Thank you for sharing the Janome love!

HI Vikki. Yes, it's already been addressed and YES the HP Foot and Needle Plate will work in the S9. If you have the original V1 light blue S9, you need to update it to V2 so it accepts the HP. The update is on the S9's Landing Page on Janome.CA. If you have the Indigo S9, it's already been updated so you can snap in the needle plate and the machine will recognize it. Happy Sewing!

@janomehqjanomecanada4908
@janomehqjanomecanada4908 3 жыл бұрын
HI Sarah, yes, technically the HP foot will work on all high shank machines, but it's designed to work with the HP needle plate on certain machines with built-in safety features so as to not break a needle and potentially damage the machine. The centre needle hole in the foot will work with other machines but you need to move the needle manually and remember the foot is on when making adjustments.
