just ordered one with the new 11th gen i9 and an additional SSD. I'm so excited

I picked one of these up with the i9 10850 and 3090 from Microcenter for $2300 open box. I don't normally run re-built PC's, but given the GPU shortage and the price, this fit my needs. For the most part, this PC has been outstanding, but required some initial work. I ran this for about a month and was going to return it due to the thermal issues, but ultimately decided to repaste the GPU. This system ran super hot until the GPU repaste. There is a guide on KZfaq on repasting this exact GPU and it had a parts list and was easy to follow. My system is now OC'd through HP's omen utility and runs completely stable. The other thing I noticed is you need to put this from Balanced on the power profile to "Performance". it made a difference in my 3DMark scores.

It's 2023 and I'm seeing the prices you guys paid for yours. I bought my 30L with the i7 10700, 3060ti, 32GB, 2TB SSD, liquid-cooled for $600 at MicroCenter. Anything new and current around this price range doesn't perform as well as this older 30L. Much better value even if the processor is a few generations old.

I wish they would have put two front intake fans. If the bottom of the case is like my Omen Obelisk, you can add a 120mm intake fan to the bottom vent intake which would help a bit.

Hi. Great video! I'm wondering how much benefit the 64gb Ram grants over the 16 and 8gb as far as competitive gaming. Is going with the top memory option worth it or needed when it comes to high fps games like warzone if I want to play with high quality and record as well?

If you add more fans you will not increase the noise level unless the fan curve is trash. The fan rpm should be lower but you will be moving more air with less noise. The noise comes from the fan blades at high speed.

I have a 30L with a 3060 ti for over a year now and works great. I wanted a 45L with the 3090 because the prices on their website with rebates is really cheap . But the reason I couldn’t commit to the buy button is the small power supply. 800 watt power supply is less than the minimum 850 watt nvidia recommends. Why does hp not offer bigger power supply options?!

I just bought the Omen 30L Ryzen 5600g rtx 3060 1TB SSD 16GB Memory (Air Cooled) should I be worried about this configuration overheating or any other problems with this Particular Omen30L setup?

Hey - Weird thing I'm noticing - I've been trying to find an answer if the Ryzen Version of this MoBo on this unit runs the NVMe drive in slot 1 at PCI gen 4 or gen 3 speeds - Your benchmark looks like it's only running at gen 3 speeds but you're also on the intel board.... so in theory it should be running at gen 4 speeds, unless HP did something silly with the design. Can anyone confirm if this MoBo only supports Gen 3 Speeds for the NVMe Drives in Both slots for Intel and Ryzen?

Got mine too for $1852 USD total. Though I'm a bit worried about the weakness of the chip, and the RAM I'm going to upgrade on my own as HP was charging an additional $100 for an extra 8gb. So was able to get a dual channel 16GB cards for $100. Also going to add an additional 120MM fan on the bottom as I hear about the Heat issues. Also odd there is no dust filter. Do still have to buy a monitor though as its recommended 1080P or better. This was literally the only way I could get a GPU. I need Help. My HP Omen 30L - GT13 - 1174 recently stopped turning on and I highly suspect is the PSU that needs replacement. I checked the model of the PSU and its a cooler master and it has the following information: Hp Post, No. L8409 - 001 Now when I check on the specific model no specific search appears on Google so I can't get my hands on that specific model. That said since I am not familiar with the gaming PC repair and replacement process I just want to know What other model can be compatible with this specific machine? got this machine ... gee is loud and hot ... the amount of noise is like having a small jet at home ... every game you play ... you better keep one eye on temperatures at all times / not recommend / this hardware is designed to fail

im sorry but in my experiance dont buy hp omen my problems temps cpu true the roof and thermal thotlled almost always temp going up to 100+ single rad for 11900 is a no go second problem black screens pc shutting down or crashing in games problem 3 heat of the 3090 only way around at first leave the pc open first i contacted hp and there customer support was great they went above and becond i told them it was most likely a grapics card issue and the the vram was also on the high side so they came to my house and replaced the 3090 but after testing the new card still black screens and pc shutdowns in games now i had enough and started doing everything step one i bought big pc case replaced the motherboard for asus x590 gaming wifi 500 euro or so trown away the bullshit cpu cooler from hp and put in a 420 iao around 150euro then i was finaly able to go into the bios ,,i have snackt for this moment for so longgg then i was finally ready to go play and tweak my cpu and ram becouse the ram in the hp was not even xmp profile i can understand wy they lock the bios for people but this is not a system for most people its for me a heavy user and i prever unlockable overclockable goodness i was finaly able to tweak the settings now i got good cpu temps no more thermal thottle in cinabech all core around 80C and while gaming at 50 all core 5.1 ghz onder heavy load and while idle 2 cores at 5.3 and the other 6 cores at 5.1 while onder multi core around 1.385 V and since core around 1.45V happy with the results but my pc was getting blackscreens in bf valheim ark and some more games i was frustaded after all i already done its was still ungameable so i upgraded the power supply becouse 700W for a 11900k and 3090 is a no go even while limited in the hp case this is wy most people have black screens not enough power btw i put in 1500W not that i need it but it had a nice lcd now i know how mutch power my games use so finnaly problems solved now my hp omen 30L is around 60L my cpu on fire is now cool and chill low clocks are overclocked now gpu can give away its heat now and worked out the pc case (still want to replace the thermal pads nvidea its just shit pads) power issues solved most i use is around 950W average in games from 500 to 850 ac 950 bf 900 ark 750 and a nice bios from asus this sums up my hp omen experiance great support but just the cooling and the lack of a good powersuply and to replace that you need to do almost everything mb power iao case now its works great hope this is helpfull for anyone in feature ps sorry for my inglish im dutch

you're absolutely not getting 120 fps at 4k with a 3090. unless ur playing minecraft or fornite.
