Cheaper than Mac Pro same processor need a monitor but with this you can go up or go down plus have more access to box for memory and SSD.

I wish the dGPU slot on the performance version could be a full sized MXM 3.0B. Unfortunately it's not based on what I learned from HP users' guide , but still a powerful workstation in a such small size.

I’m looking for something with this form factor. So far iMac mini and this. I would be using for general stuff, school, video/photo editing. I’m also a gamer but play on Xbox but have always wanted to try pc. What would you recommend

I’ve always used apple... but I don’t like the idea of paying more for an iMac mini and then adding an external GPU latter on which could cost $500

I'm looking to replace my 2018 Mac Mini. I recently stated a business KZfaq channel and running Davinci Resolve 17 on my Mac mini just is not work. Also I'm a web developer and need to run application like node.js and VS Code. Is th e HP Z2 G5 good for this type of work load?

It's ECC ram not EEC 😂😂 As in Error-correcting code ram but non ECC ram is also compatible Also max ram is 32gb (2x16) although Samsung has single 32gb ddr4 sodimms available but HP have yet to confirm that 2 x 32gb sticks will be compatible

@@worldalvin Yes, as an option for the 'Flex Port' when you order. Also the SODIMM memory can be upgraded without tools: the CPU fan simply folds up to reveal the memory slots - beautiful and thoughtful engineering. Max memory is 32GB max (16GB per side EEC or nEEC). And keeping the PSU external will reduce heat emission inside the box, which is a very good thing. It only lacks (for my purposes anyway) a built-in card reader.

Extremely quiet when idle, or office work, extremely noisy when 3d modeling or rendering. Sound is as strong as average hair dryer. Box is beautiful, compact, but... We have bought 3 pieces of Z2 Mini G4 to office, and all of them are noisy. Any solution? Many thanks.

checking on HP's site, this workstation fully configured to max settings is around $3500. Not sure if it's worth it although I like the small footprint. And to correct the presenters, the max RAM I can see is 32 GB of RAM. Honestly, if I am spending over $3000, the RAM should be 64 GB.
