@@ReadySetRC thank you. Me too I’ve always wanted one finally had the coin free for one. I’m getting a few parts gathered slowly also. I’ve seen Jenny’s RC stock some parts. I’ll be keeping this truck for a long time so the parts will be good to stock up with. The only thing I might change out is the radio to my Futaba 3PV but I use that radio on a lot of my models! @W Mendoza I would like to see that too but I will say the improvements that were done on the Savage weren't major so it may not be bad to take a flyer on this.

@@ReadySetRC I have 4.6ss it was a kit, I bought as a roller never put a motor in it, all this electric technology rtr made things so much cheaper and easy-to-use.

@Donald Mosby I've had a few HPI's but never the Savage. No issues with my steering. I've seen where some that ran the stock controller had trim issues. My first run, it seemed a little wide both ways but I think it was me. All runs after that no issues. I never used the stock controller though.

@Joseph Saucedo I don't own the XL V2 but from what I read looks like the addressed most of the issues except the lock out on the rear suspension arms.

@@ReadySetRC I noticed there a lot more parts on the v2 if you were to add those parts and mix with some of nitro part to it would be a sick truck hpi flux. Hpi could of built sense it is all stock savage part I love hpi but the designer there need to get there stuff together and perfect there truck senses most of there problems are fixable with there own stuff and in my opinion it would make it the ultimate 1/8 scale to be ever made and unbeatable tuff 👍✌️👌💯🍻🛠️🏎️ savage nation 💪

@@ReadySetRC I'll go threw and watch them I'm actually a nitro guy but I'll probably build a electric version next when I'm done making the nitro version perfect with there own parts I'm all most done it kinda makes me sad that I can fix all the savage problem with hpi parts by going threw all the hpi models and mix up there parts to improve it and solve alot of the problem/ complaints about them but at the same time at least they make the stuff to do it if they built both versions perfect the way they can be I can't imagine what there price would be that's my real problem IV been actually building my trucks out of old model because price and lack of design effort and problems with the new ones I'm just glad it all it all fit and offered now have a great one till the next one savage nation 💪👍👌✌️

@F Garcia I hear you man but when I was a kid I was expecting to be in flying cars by the year 2000😊 I say this about other brands and HPI is no exception, fix the issues from previous releases. Even though they are simple aftermarket fixes my main issues are the hex adapters, no wheelie bar and the lack of a center diff. All of that should have come on this truck.

I agree, this truck is a parts bin remake. You can tell by the dated front bumper/pin retainers, old style hpi hubs and wheel nuts,crappy tires, body etc. At least the new released hpi savage flux is updated thoroughly.

@Mikekixaxe Thanks man! Maybe you didn't know but I'm not a hobby shop nor do these trucks get sent to me for free, so two trucks would not be an option. I bought this truck back in Feb of 2021, the truck was only $630 no tax or shipping but I know the price has gone up a ton. I did film my final thoughts video. It's in the queue and speaks more of my experience on the truck. This was and is my first Savage so really can't speak on how the old and new compare. That would be false if I tried to do that and I only speak on what I've personally tried or owned. But from all of the info I've found on the prior models this is no different than the older models. Really it's the old one with a new body from the videos I've seen. Plus all of the parts I've been adding are from the previous parts releases. From all the angles I put in this video you can tell nothing has changed.

@Derrick B I hear you man. It's one of those love it or hate RC's. Took me getting a few other TVP RC's before this before even wanting it. Plus I would have loved to see some things addressed but I'm okay with a addressing them.

@Herbert Müller I never owned the previous Savage XL but everything I was able to find on this truck, it looks like it was mostly unchanged. From what I've seen on most of the kits they new HPI has released it has remained unchanged other than the new Savage X release. Time will tell how they fair but they got my interest.

@@ReadySetRC I thought they went bankrupt or closed up shop.Theres a lot of competition and you can't think like you did 20 years ago.You are no longer the big boy on the block.Other companies are making good products and if you can't keep up with todays players your done for.Unless you sell cheap to undercut your competition but HPI is not doing that.This year with covid people are spending stupid money on hobbies.If you can't make money now forget it.

@@steveshot81 So true. I'm seeing my local hobby shop booming every time I step in the door. What I would like to see from HPI is concentrate on a few releases and ramp up on parts support and upgrades. They lost a lot of diehards with the lack of parts support. If they pump a v2 of this truck in less than a year that may get the new comers in. From HPI people want to see the new owners stand behind the product this time otherwise this will be the third failed attempt to a relaunch and could be the last.
