Another update on the Dom, looks like they have just plonked another section into position, some action from the men in orange, very windy day so limited on height...wooooosh.....

Yeah, I deffo spotted some satsuma movement down below. This last stretch of water is named, rather unromantically, Harefield No.2. Hey, darling - I cranked up the volume to 11 but still couldn't hear anything. You could have inserted a few bars of Beethoven's Fifth or something. The guy's dead so he's hardly going to sue you, is he? As I said somewhere else just now, those Kilnbridge V-piers are magnificent both in terms of engineering and appearance. You, SIMONE, have probably seen their video but for those that haven't, here is how they did the formwork and then poured concrete to make those amazing structures: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pdCDna-ctLOuf2g.html

oh hello, yes i have seen those videos, amazing, I will add a link., going to the south port holes on my next adventure in the bushes, have noticed some long tube like things have been added, also a tunnel under the m25 that i never knew was there. 👀,

The viaduct is certainly the prettiest of the scars, though. Whether it ever actually carries a railway, or not, it will be admired for centuries to come and people will flock to see the concrete arches 'skimming like a pebble' over the Colne Valley.

Huh. I remember when the Colne valley was a post-industrial dump, I grew up next to it. Once finished it'll be back to nature with a railway bridge. You prefer the M25?
