They've been working hard on this section of HS2 since your last update! Can clearly see the new alignment of the road at the western end now. Thanks for the footage here - great as always!

Very impressive structure! I also really liked how you can see all the stages of construction (in reverse) at the end - ceiling ready to be poured, formwork for ceiling, walls being formed, slab reinforcement, ground prep etc.

had 2 doses of the unluckness monster resulting in 1 drone at the top of a very tall tree, the other one hit an over head cable, new drone on the way more videos towards the end of next week, filming hs2 is getting expensive 🤣

I'd argue that most of HS2 should be underground! If we can tunnel under the English Channel for 30 miles without a vent shaft, why not under long sections of land? Not sure how the cost would compare, but save an awful lot of destruction of farmland and woodland. And by the time they've screened the railway from public view, it might as well be in a tunnel!!! Nice video BTW, not too long to become boring, but longer than the official HS2 vids!

30 miles of tunneling from Warwickshire to London and what if theres a fire, How is the driver going to evacuate his rail passangers out of the tunnels. The only reason for the 10 miles tunnels is to keep folks like you up in the chiltern hills happy, whilst folks like us will suffer in a 10 mile tunnel with no views of your lovely countryside from the train windows, just to protect a few of your pressure oaks trees. HS2 would have cost far less without the need of the 10 miles tunnels.

The Channel Tunnel obviously cannot have vent shafts, so it has a separate service tunnel for maintenance and escape purposes.

Why cover a cutting, seems entirely unnecessary! Presumably taxpayers' money paying for it. What's the point of a covered shallow cutting anyway?
