I went and checked my Viper, which had been sitting for some months now... um... like September, probably. It The gauge dropped by about 2 bars below the red. Compared to other guns I have... I checked my Diana Stormrider, Seneca Wingshot II, Hatsan BT65 Carnivore, and Hatsan Neutronstar. Those guns have been sitting longer, and have not lost the tiniest bit of air. When I got the Wingshot II, it would drop air pretty fast, losing about a quarter of its tank per week. I added 2 drops of pure silicon oil to its fill adapter and filled it a few times, and the leak stopped entirely. Only pure silicon oil is safe for this purpose. Any kind of combustible oil could detonate under the extreme pressure.

You can melt the gel down and pour it into a new mold to recycle it. When testing for accuracy, don't worry about hitting the bullseye, instead, aim at the same spot and test for the size of the grouping - the size of the group, assuming your aim is steady, is what determines accuracy as a tight group means the gun is putting the bullets into the same spot every time while a large group means that the gun is not accurate since it is throwing rounds all over the place Also, in light of how quickly that thing runs out of FPS, I would recommend testing accuracy with just a few shots, then topping it back off since the lower the FPS, the more drop the pellets will have and thus the more the accuracy will appear to suffer. Invest in a pistol rest, ideally one which locks, so that you can take as much of the human element out of the accuracy test. When they send samples to KZfaqrs and other reviewers, they normally make sure that you get the best of the best, so either this company is very honest or very sloppy. Looks like the GK1 is the clear winner.

Hey Sean! Thanks so much for watching so many of my videos and for the constant constructive input you’ve shared in all of them. Really great stuff and I truly appreciate it. You’ve been spot on in every comment, as you know already. A lot of the suggestions/positive critics you gave I actually learned/fixed with time. Others I’ll definitely use t for improvement. Funny you mentioned recycling the ballistic gel. I just made a video about that which is also inserted in my next week’s video instagram.com/reel/C5CMvdaPf11/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

So what I got out of this great video, is that once again, Huben BRUTALIZES the competition with a superior product. Saving my nickels and quarters. Also, I appreciate you stepping out of your normal "less lethal" comfort zone. I happen to believe that a bad guy seeing his own blood is a more effective deterrent than pepper balls when in comes to my family's safety. These weapons fill a niche for people that can't have firearms for whatever reason, but still feel a security need. Thank you.

I picked up the GK1 V3 25 cal with a moderator and speed loader so I can do some backyard target practice. I have an enclosed backyard with a wooded area behind me. I am very impressed with the quality so far. It is my first PCP gun and like the idea of being able to target practice in my back yard and not have to go to the range and spend a small fortune on ammo. Looking forward to the Viper 30 cal. Hopefully it is as powerful or even more so than the GK1. The only complaints I have with the GK1 is that it does not have an easy reload system and that it is not concealable but a person could use it for home defense or to keep in their car if they cannot own a firearm. Keep up the good reviews.

For the ballistic gel penetration test, spray painting half the pellets is likely the cause in different penetration lengths. Thus compromising a fair comparison. The paint, however little amount it is, changes the weight of the round drastically, essentially making them heavier than the non spray painted ones. You should paint them all just with different colors, to compensate for this weight change. Also, painting the entire round can potentially create additional friction as it travels down the barrel, because youre adding an additional layer to the surface of the round. Not to mention either dirtying or damaging your barrel. Ive seen other KZfaqrs paint only the back ends of the pellets when doing comparisons, you should try that next time. Im just speaking from the perspective of a firearms guy. Most expierence I have with pnuematic guns is from playing paintball with the family. But Im sure what I mentioned above is logically sound enough to make sense. Any pnuematics experts that can chime in would be appreciated. Good video none the less, the variety of test definitely prove the lethality of both pistols. Im still stuck between which one to choose between however.

My LCS SK-19 is very similar and it’s a powerhouse! 0-150 clicks on my power wheel, mine is currently set at 35 clicks and sends 34 grain FX pellets at 960 FPS =69+FPE and will MOA at 100. May I suggest an alteration to the way you shoot at the ss trays? The way you are doing it isn't an accurate depiction of how many trays the pellets go through.The more times you shoot, the less accurate your results. This is because once a hole has been punched through the first tray, often the subsequent shots can go through the holes in the first tray (and 2nd, 3rd, etc) without much resistance. This makes it look like the gun has more power than it actually has. I suggest that regardless of how many shots the gun can hold, you try to limit the shots to six aimed at different parts of the 1st tray thus hopefully limiting the possibility of subsequent shots going through holes left by preceeding shots.

С Новым Годом и Рождеством! Не смотря на почти втрое большую мощность, тест на баллистическом геле далеко не так однозначен, а по точности Випер явно превосходит Гк1, так что, парадоксально, но пистолеты вполне сравнимы.

On average, how many shots out of a fill on the gk1?
@AirgunAlley
@AirgunAlley 2 ай бұрын
It depends on the weight of the ammo. If you’re using heavy ammo, in 25 caliber, then you get about 15 shots (out of 17). With lighter ammo you get the full magazine (17 shots). But not more

"A few less shots with the Evanix" - but, you couldn't finish the GK1 magazine because it ran out of air. So, really how many shots on a fill for both guns before they won't cycle? Also, whenever I see speed/power go up I wonder if the gun isn't given a chance to "breathe".

I’ll tell you the truth, the GK1 bumped off all the previous air guns I kept by my side. SHE is the one now :) Funny I get the same sponsor, the one and only, once a year ahahaha but hopefully in 2024 more will come. I know many people get annoyed by the ad, but as you know very well - it’s the one and only thing that really keeps creators going. Thank you so much as always Stuart! Absolutely, and you raise a good point - as this happens in most of my videos. But what I’m testing here is the gun as a whole. Not the effects of each shot. That way you know what will happen to a target once you unload the gun on it. Hope that makes sense
