Quick update on the papers I had an issue with in this video (Journal Random Embellishment Paper Pack - Record and Blessing): I brought it to the attention of the shop and they had a meeting with the company that made the paper, but it sounds like the pixellated effect was intentional to add to the vintage approach. I clearly have a different definition of what vintage means, so it wasn't for me, but feel free to make your own decision there. If there had been photos of the lack of clarity in the print on the website, I would not have ordered them, so I hope that seeing a closeup video here is helpful.

Their reason is exactly what I thought too. Those envelopes you called vintage and my being 70 years old....nope. It would have to be at least 100 years old to call it vintage. I understand the word 'vintage' is what is used and it's a very overused term for items that truly aren't vintage. When you reach your later years there will probably be a word the upcoming generation will use that will grate on you too. Thank you for the haul and I may try some of their products.

I also picked that Mexican aster, its such a lovely stamp! And l have another splice stamp se, they are so nice! I have put my teeny tiny TN on my bag, its so fun. I swear the Platinum Meteor is sooooooo good. I wish they were available outside Asia. And the little stars on the nob are adorbs.

Normally I don’t watch haul videos but I was intrigued. Fun stuff and there’s a few things I want to order! I have an option for those die cut lace flowers if it interests. I use either spray adhesive or my favorite is a tiny stapler. I use the Tim Holtz mini stapler but any would work.

Ooh, those are both really good ideas! I haven’t had a stapler since I was in school - that sounds perfect for this! Reminds me that I’ve seen some journaling KZfaqrs use eyelets for attaching pieces in a more decorative way. So many good options out there! Thank you for sharing those recommendations.

I purchased those exact same pixelated papers from Am*zon earlier this year and did what you did--separated and tossed the ones that were blurry. Live and learn, I suppose. Your channel has been so helpful as I've begun journaling/scrapbooking my quilting projects, thanks for everything you post!

Oh no! I did bring up the quality issue with StationeryPal and they had a meeting with the company that makes them. It sounds like the pixelated effect was intentional, that to the company that makes the papers, it made them feel more vintagey. For me, it just looks like they didn’t use a large enough file size for the print, and pixels make me think of newer technology than my personal idea of vintage suggests. But really, more than anything, I wish they had posted a clearer photo of the effect on the store so I could have steered clear of them as it’s not something that is usable for me.

I got something similar to what you showed in 4:30 thinking they were just little paper pictures and I used them a few times with liquid glue, anyway I just checked and- I can't believe they were stickers all along!🤦‍♀️😂

Love your choices, I am familiar with this shop. :) I did a Stationery Pal order back in April and I also received the little teddy bear and cool confetti in my package, it looked just like this and I am nobody special, just a random customer. I believe they must do this for everyone!

I have a very important question: Were you aware of the Platinum x Harry Potter pens? They look so, so interesting! I'm assuming you saw them as you were browsing, or had already known about them and decided they weren't your jam.

Yes, I saw those, but I no longer feel good about purchasing officially licensed Harry Potter merchandise due to JK Rowling’s harmful actions against the trans community the last few years.
