It will be interesting to see your honest review of this bike! Most of the reviews look like they were written by Lectric and have little value. The one objective review out so far shows this bike to have really poor range and terrible no name brakes that are borderline dangerous. It seems to me that range and superior braking are a prerequisite for off road use. I’m sure most of Lectric’s customers won’t be pushing this bike too hard, except when it runs out of battery.

I'm not worried about what's been shown about the brakes. either they didn't have time to break the pads in or you can just switch to different pads that maybe don't last as long but have more friction. not a big deal. and I'm not sure the range was shown to be low for a 14ah battery while being used mostly in its high 1300watt mode in most reviews. have a second battery handy to swap in for 500 or mod it. again, not a big deal there either. the actual objective thing that matters and would set this bike apart is if it can actually do many mountain bike activities besides trail riding and if it can do that and last over time. i probably won't drive it much off road and plan on putting road tires on it for a better ride on asphalt. i'll also replace the controller with something programmable after initial breakin because i don't want any artificial limits on the bike and i will eventually be looking to find a way to sneak more battery in its battery area to boost voltage to 14s or 15s. basically try and see what can be done without adding external diy looking stuff to it. also maybe look into increasing the size of the crank to improve top speed pedaling (and improve that range). looking forward to January and killing the warranty.

Agree, Lectric sells because they are so much more adsorbable. This will be a HUGE seller for them.

Step thru and mountain bike should not be in the same sentence. Unless it's a fake mountain bike.

ha he, well, why not? If the frame can handle the abuse of the terrain, it doesn't matter. However, someone that is able to ride rough terrain should be able to swing their leg over the bike, right?

Most of these online E bikes that are so popular right now are not mountain bike capable at all. They have the look, but that’s where it ends. It would be like comparing a KTM 250 to a Honda CRF 250 L. They are OK to take on some trails, but do not ride them hard. How have you been Pedro?
