HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.

Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

This is a nifty story about quantum shenanigans and humanitys's skill in finding loop holes even in fabric of reality. The ending was fantastic, of course a rich patron was the end game all the way. The human's wish made the alien undo his. For the Algorithm! For the Author! For the Narrator! For the Beard!

Reminds me of a story that goes like this: The universe is a "primordial plasma soup", and various aliens form the plasma into stars planets, etc as they want. One day they found the edge of the soup, a void in such vast dimensions they figured some extremely powerful species had been projecting and forming the soup into their version of reality. So they prepared an expedition and after untold centuries, their reality protection engines screaming at the seams going overdrive just to prevent thr waves and waves of reality-forming field emanating from the source, they found Earth. It seems humans merely look up to the sky and with the power of their imagination created a huge universe of mind-boggling size and complexity.

It's actually a really interesting concept. Based on the premise that the universe forms itself based on how consciousness unknowingly shapes it. If consciousness doesn't have any reason to believe that something was a certain way you then plant the idea that something was always that way. The universe will reform an unverified part of itself to be that way.

But we do influence if light is a wave or a particle by looking at it and trying to measure it. Somehow if you try to measure light as a particle, the more accurate the measurement the more it is a particle. If you try to measure the wave, the more accurate the measurement the more it is a wave. The more it becomes one the less it is the other. Wtf? We don't know.
