I have to give it to the Grey's writing staff, they've written in some creative explanations for the real life pregnancies & mat-leaves for its stars...Chandra Wilson was really pregnant in s2 so that was fun to watch lol, but with Ellen they had the liver transplant, Chyler the stress eating and then Jessica's 1st one on the show they had the story of Arizona going to Africa & her 2nd one was at the end of s8 so that's why Arizona was injured the way she was, so they could keep her baby bump 'hidden' ...don't remember what they've done for Sarah Drew, although if I'm thinking right, her going to war-zones as a trauma surgeon might have been part of that
