This wasn't stated in the 2011 anime but Ging took care of Gon for 2 years, and I don't know if you remember, but there was a flashback with baby gon and him in Whale island where he wanted to leave Gon with his grandmother but only for a while, telling her that he and Gon's mother had separated. However, Ging lost the custody of his son in court to his cousin Mito. So technically, he didn't abandoned Gon completely and still cared. At least he didn't lock his child in an underground room of a volcano for years.

I can't agree with Silva here. Killua has proven that Alluka could be managed, as a small kid he basically managed her and her powers on his own. No one died until after the family started meddling. If the family wanted they could grant Alluka freedom. But they're so terrified of risking death themselves that they'd rather imprison her for life than risk even an infinitesimal chance of the family dying.

Alluka is the reason for that, because she was born male but identifies as female, mainly due to her powers, I believe. Killua is the only person in his family that refers to her with female pronouns because he's the only one that truly cares about her, while everyone else in her family sees her as some sort of monster that needs to be locked away. It's Togashi doing a really cool metaphor for transphobia, by giving Alluka this weird thing that scares everybody except the people that take the time to understand and accept it. Alluka's gender stuff is very confusing, but it's fine, because she's a sweet bean and needs to be protected at all costs. 15:20 Good luck. Alluka's rules are super-convoluted on purpose. They go over them in this episode, and that set of rules continues to grow as the arc goes on. Just rules on top of rules on top of more rules. It's silly, especially when we get to the end of the arc.

In the previous episode the writer showed that ging is not the type who doesn't care from the start of the show he was the one that determined gon journey from the start the places gon went to the people who he met, his friends rivels and every thing else.

The moment Alluka asks for the liver and then the other body parts I always wonder if this really is Alluka asking. Either it is her and she just have absolutly no concept on how humans work because she is a) still very young and b) has no one who really teaches her anything because her parents got suspicious of her pretty fast and she has no other children to play with and to learn what´s "normal". Never specifically stated, but Killua consistently refers to Alluka as female, while the rest of the family consistently refers to Alluka as male. As Killua is pretty much the only one who seems to be close to and care for Alluka, it's safe to say that he's the one treating her better by doing so. Because of that, we can safely assume that Alluka was born male (thus why the family and butlers treat her as a boy), but is transgender and identifies as female (and that Killua's the only one who cares about her enough to respect that). It's a really neat subtle bit of storytelling.

Here is something about Zoldyck family. Family have 5 children, all of them are boys. Killua's Mother wanted to have a daughter, but no matter how much she tried, she only got boys. After Killua she started to raise her younger children as girls. That is why Alluka identifies himself as girl, and Kalluto dresses in feminine clothing. Killua is the only family member, considerate enough, to call Alluka as "she", like she wants to.

Killua is a healthy individual today because of Gon. Not because of his father or his family. Remember when Illumi caused Killua to have a mental breakdown and kill somebody just by reminding him that he wss raised an assassin and that's what he would always be. Both Silva and Ging are shitty father's, but I feel like Gon's problems are created by the absence of a mentor/father figure, while Killua's problems were directly created because of his family. So ultimately, I feel like Ging was a better father than Silva.

Everyone seems to agree that Ging is a horrible father but honestly I think he's done a pretty good job. But a look into Aleczandxr's video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jZyCrbKIsNaaaGQ.html it depends on your point of view. I am not a Buddhist but if we look at it from this angle I get it. Children will grow up with or without you regardless and in this case Ging left Gon with someone he knew would provide the close affection and presence he could not give or rather wasn't willing to give if it meant giving up his goals.
