a hurricane we will never forget 💔

When hurricane Harvey struck, I was in Chicago and received a call from my National Guard unit, we were activated immediately and I got on the first plane back to Hobby Airport as soon as it reopened. As a member of the Texas Army National Guard, it was an honor and a privilege to help my community in the following weeks after the hurricane, although I felt proud and accomplished to be helping out, like many others, I caught myself holding back tears quite often. This city watched me grow up, go through school, join the work force, get married, join the military and so many other memories, but the memory of this devastation will be in my mind forever, I pray we never have to experience something like this again.

What is crazy is that there is a new subdivision behind Costco that is being built. Costco itself was ruined & now reopened. Too damn close to San Jacinto River.

i live in houston and the stores that yall saw flooded were the ones really close to my house

I was in Colorado when Harvey went through Houston

My friend 8 years ago told me that he was moving to Texas, we stayed in touch until 2016, when Harvey struck I never got a reply…..I wonder if he’s ok

When Harvey hit I went to go see and it look like a whole lake

That bestbuy with everything still in it done stuff totaled then the stuff in higher shelves like PCs TVs and more that must suck for the owners

Wow I can't believe I was there during all of this..

It is scary that there are many stores and homes were destroyed by this flood. Im not sure how I would have handled the flood.

I was 7 when this happened and I was there like, my house got flooded:(

it’s so friken crazy how high the water got. i was in 5th grade at the time. i live in pearland texas and my sister and her husband got hit but they were in vegas so we had to go clean up stuff and rip up carpets,my house just got a lot of rain but no damage.

I lived there but maybe like 3 months after the hurricane we moved out it didn’t hit as hard where I lived but we decided to move (lived in Clearlake)

Damn, just right before hurricane harvey reached Best Buy I would’ve gotten a play station 4 monitor, gaming pc, Xbox 360, Xbox one, gaming mouse, fans, lots of iPhone X’s and finally a large size screen tv oh and wireless WiFi. Without paying lmao
