I didn't think I was a very "motherly" type person either. I use to tell my husband that he would be more into parenting than me. I even thought that all throughout my pregnancy and had plans to return to work after only a few weeks. However, the moment my baby was here everything changed! Literally, I felt totally different than I had expected. Even my husband heard me talking to our baby and got the biggest smile on his face. I asked him why and he said that it was just so adorable to him because he had never heard me "baby talk" before. You will both be great parents. I know there can be a lot of fear about it changing your relationship, but as long as your marriage is good before the baby, it will get even better. It really strengthened my bond with my husband to see him love and adore our baby as much as I did. Cute faces my baby would make or just other adorableness that no one else would have been interested in my husband loved and appreciated just as much as I did. That saved me a ton of gratuitous baby Facebook posts...lol! It also made me love and appreciate my husband *more* which I hadn't thought possible.

Your husband is awesome! I'd definitely love to see him again. If he's not blind without them, ditch the glasses. As for the beard, I think he'd look better without it, but maybe a short scruffy beard would be a good compromise.
