Hussar sabre cutting

So what's a sword wielding wanker without some cutting? I'm in my full hussar uniform here and I had to test out my sword. It's an antique sabre from the German states, made in the early to mid 19th century. The shape is somewhat modelled after the British 1796 light cavalry sabre, but with a 3 bar hilt instead of the usual stirrup knuklebow. It's a nicely weighted cavalry blade, only sharpened 7 inches from the point and the point of balance is 7 inches in front of the hilt, but it's not unwieldy for all that.
As you can see from the vid I'm very inexperienced at cutting.

Swing away from the horse, up left to lower right left hand side is harder but same principle. The swing is a small circular arc away from the horse. :)

What kind of hussar are your dressed as? Country/period - idk if this is an ignorant question lol

It's a fantasy on the idea of "the Hussar", so it's a mix of a few styles in order to be my own perfect hussar. Mainly here there's Lieb Hussar and a bit of the French Hussurd Du Mort. The style is the first half of the 19th century, after Waterloo. ... 1815- 1830, when uniforms became a lot more decorated.

YOU DID THIS VERY INCORATLY, YOU MUST CUT IT WHILE RIDING YOUR HORSE OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF MOUNT, BE IT A PONY, ZEBRA, BOAR, WOLF OR BEAR, IF NOT USE A VEHICLE BIKE/CHOPPER/HOG, BECILE OR TANKS! in the case of the last you just yell to the driver to drive you closer so you can hit your enemies with your sword!

Where'd you get your uniform made?

The pelisse and dolman jackets were made by a company called Sutlers UK. I modified them to add silver dome buttons and fur trim etc. The trousers are British army No1 uniform trousers for a lancer unit (from the 1950s?). I replaced the original yellow stripes with silver bullion. The sabretache is from India, the crossbelt is vintage Italian, the barrel sash, sword belt, and busby were all made by me.

Hahaha! OMG! 😅I was such a bad cutter back then
