At the start of the game money is a little hard to come by but with the right setup and not wasting lots on extra pipes u can do something like this know it works and expand on it simply.

Hey there Hybrid. Really enjoying your content on Hyrdoneer. It's been helpful! Love these compact starter builds... mine was very similar with the exception of the u-turn. I did a straight line out from the harvester, which helped to save a little bit of coin on not having to get the left turn and right turn conveyors. Fits on pretty much the same number of blocks, just in a straight line as opposed to the rectangular shape.

For those watching this in 2024, the gem compressor is gone and replaced with a logic gem compressor that only does 1 gem type. It also requires both water pipes and logic wires, as well as a switch to turn them on. You can do alternate left-right sorters to sort each of the gems into their own compressor, with a switch on each compressor. Or run a main wire underneath the conveyors to connect them to a single switch. It does make the minimum footprint build a bit larger, essentially a 5x5, though I personally like the 4-ore 4-gem layout :D

the worst part was this video was recorded only a few weeks before max changed over the compressor as this was 2.0 compressors came in on this version which nulled this build.

I don't understand the criticism either. Build how you like, that's the fun of the game. I personally like the gem compressor at the end, but not because of an afterthought, because it's deliberate, to me. The compressor just fits better in my sorting plant design when placed at the end. That's just me, others like to build things different ways, that's fine. When your build is small, it doesn't really matter what order you put the other sorters in, but when the build gets bigger I liked to get the iron out of the way as soon as possible to reduce lag. Then gold after, since they are the two biggest issues. If you have a machine capable of handling it, then it won't really matter. To those having FPS issues, it might be a good idea to get iron/gold smelting as quick as you can, fast conveyors to get it processed fast. This is why I'm working on my pre-smelters to have bars being sent down the line instead of ore. This has been challenging to get things running, mostly because I like building compact.

Dont play this game at lower than 50% brain capacity I forgot about T pipe and leave a gap after every drill to place a fresking straing pipe while T pipe its right there under my feet

I havent tried it yet but Im think the hand sorter may be a really op item if I can get it to function as a part a of a system with many sorting in a chain like plinko for the ore

yeah the hand sorter can do that but it cant talk on big loads so if ur only using 1 or 2 drills its ok but for bigger builds it would have a problem as it cant take a lot even from panning

Not sure it worth a video...but what about the 2 different play styles. Caves and Pits. Cave players only remove whats necessary for their underground operations, and tunnel their way through. Pit Player don't care, just nuke a giant open hole and build either on the edge of the abyss...or a floating city above it 😅 Both have their + and -, curious to see your opinion on those.

Isn't it smaller and cheaper to just have all 4 sorters plus the compressor in a straight line? By my math it takes up 3 foundations plus 2 pipes sticking outside of that, so technically still 4; but you don't have to buy the turns and it's the same number of pipes.

Well this is a full sorting plant that compacts the build u would also need a spare belt for the gem polisher as well

u can build this build on the surface and just run a conveyor to the harvester from underground... its what iv done in my live streams

Hey Hybrid I just started playing hydrometer and love it so far but I can’t figure out what key makes you able to easily place shard bars in the boosters and manipulate items to fit them in the truck. If anyone knows what key it is I’d appreciate it!

Hold down the "E" kay, aim where you wish and hit "E" again to drop ;)

use the shovel and dig the place then u can dig that piece of dirt and then place again leaving asbit of dirt each time

Hi, i have a 100 Drill T2 Setup and its behaving strange. When i went from 40 Drills to to 100 the Drills started turning off and on again for like a second (including the indicator Lamp). I tested around and it looks like the most i can run at one time are around 50-60 before the behavior starts. Am i hitting the Engine Cap?

It does it even at full pressure. It's like it uses a reset cycle
