So, all of you watching these videos realize EO is a 19 yr old friggin genius who does all his own design, programming, welding, and machining. Just FYI.

19? where'd he get all the money to buy these things I need to do what he's doing

@@funy0n583 He buys used or out of service equipment and rebuilds it, puts new guts in it and paints it. This particular attachment was made from a guiderail post and leftover 1" plate.

@@searchpartyguy I bet most don't even own the LAND for something like this let alone the materials. Not to say it's not impressive

I like the idea of a robot arm that can reliably hoop a basketball.

Yeah those actuators were quite the lucky find, they’re capable of moving 10x faster if I had the right drives and water cooling… maybe one day.

Amazing stuff. Recently found your channel, random idea. I’m not sure how you mounted the claw, but possibly making a quick disconnect. So the robot could attach/detach the claw or any other attachments you’ve made for it.

Use that robot arm to make a cool drawing. You can use chalk since it looked like you were surrounded by concrete, but it didn't look flat so that might be a problem.

I'd say create a lift for a compact car, so you can raise it and work under it. Could use to help with changing a tire, fluids, etc.

mount it on a trailer and use it as a log picker

I’m really curious how you interfaced the drives for your gripper to the RJ2. Is it basic pulse digital outputs for certain durations?
@ExcessiveOverkill2 жыл бұрын
That’s what I originally planned on doing, but since I ran out of time, the robot simply outputs a single open/close signal. Then I program the claw directly for how far to open/close. It’s back drivable so I just manually move it to a position and save it.

Uses for a giant claw bot? Man, if there were a way to give it vision/object recognition, I'd say it would be incredible for something like recycling sorting. Granted, overkill.
