In this playthrough of Convergence mod in Elden Ring we went with the Nox Oracle class as requested by you guys, on the newest patch 1.3! This class seems way more melee focused and so we started to build around being a black knife assassin. We also got to tackle the new boss, Godskin Matriarch, and she did definitely not disappoint. With a whole new moveset and a special phase 2, she took me quite a few attempts to beat. Please enjoy the video and let me know what you would like to see next!

I feel like the Servant of Rot is the best class. You get: Rot, Poison, Bleed, Great unique weapons with awesome Ashes of War, Some of the coolest armor sets in the game, and Pest Threads just for spiderweb-icing on the poisoned cake.

The Frenzied Flame one is also great once you get the right combination of spells and weapons. It has great poise break potential and crowd control, but it also can deal insane amounts of damage to bosses

she has moves from bosses from a lot of different games. there’s some from Sekiro aswell. O’rin’s jump attack as well as a few of Corrupted Monk’s swings

I think the matriarchs melee attacks in the first phase are inspired by Sekiros „Orin of the water“, they all seem very flowing

If you grabbed the Call to Slumber spell from Mystic class, you can sleep a ton of enemies for an immediate chance to crit.

Something I just noticed was that the godskin matriarch shares a lot of animations with Melania, Maliketh, and a few with Mohg and I think it’s really cool how they were able to reuse resources but make it feel like it’s own thing

Best class depends on what you like Best for summoning? Mystic Best damaging? What type? Physical? Probably star caller. Holy? Probably celebrant. Best all around? Frienzy. Why? Because i like it

The rulers mask is most likely a reference to King Baldwin, the reason it reduces your damage is because he had leprosy. He still won a war at 16.

video engagement question!! :D ive tried about half of the caster classes so far and ive seen videos of the majority of them (ill try melee soon but theres so much new magic i cant resist trying it all out even though im a strength build at heart), I think fundamentalist(?) and mystic are my favourites. im very comfortable with faith builds (i usually run str/fth builds whenever i do my first playthrough of souls games), discus of light is still very strong, you can get the 10% boost weapon (erdsteel dagger) and first few spell runes super early, and well the guardian's spearblade might be the coolest weapon ever made. and the mystic is incredibly unique, probably because theres literally no sleep spells in the base game so its all so new, plus its got very nice flexibility between summoner, mage, and melee. also the sleep makes for a very strong crit build on anything that isnt immune to it and to backstabs, lol.

Strongest class Imo would be the dragon cultist class. My favorite is the black flame class though.

I've played all of the classes in 1.2 at least twice, some classes 3 times with different setups between spellblades, caster only and weapon only. My favorite class has been Glintstone Sorcerer. Some other class recommendations would be Aberrant Heretic, Servant of Rot, Frenzied Zealot, and Frost Witch. Those were the ones I had the most fun with. EDIT: The Glintstone Cleaver is for the Glintstone Sorcerer, pure Intelligence build. They have another modded weapon called the Celestial Blade. Several Katanas also have a new moveset as well. Moonveil, Hand of Malenia, Rivers of Blood and Dragonscale Blade.

All the classes by the end are super op minus the melee classes but any int class with celestial blade. Sword oh hadea is also super fun and broken but the necromancer class with ability to bypass the summon debuff and instant stagger is beyond broken. Add the war scythe and rosus axe and your cooking

I don't know if it's the best, but my *favorite* has been Abberant Heretic/ thorn sorcerer Almost every spell in the class is new, they're super interesting, and you can simulate putting enemies/ bosses into a blender with the Regalia AoW now doing bleed It also lined up a ton with my first playthrough. Getting my first set of spells from the Bloodhound whose weapon carried me through my first souls game. Fighting Elemer of the Briar, a boss I bashed my head against for hours and now consider my favorite boss in the game, and taking his armor, sword, and spells as a trophy. All the way to my last spells being in the Haligtree, the final test of my first playthrough. Where I beat Malenia and proved to myself I could beat *anything* with enough time and will.

Convergence 1.0 is probably a year or two away from now at minimum. Pretty sure they want all the DLC to release and the game to settle a bit before they'll consider calling it 1.0. Beta should release quite a bit sooner, though (we're still in alpha right now).

You missed the best INT/FTH sorcery armour in the mod in the same room as the fingerslayer blade. The white pickup in there is the night maiden's set. Should probably be switched to a purple drop to be fair, it's super easy to miss otherwise

I agree 1000% about the Shimmering rune being way harder to get than the Shining. The only saving grace for it is that alt route you mentioned.. Still a RIDICULOUS difficulty spike to get the FIRST upgrade Rune.

If you have a partner, Underworld Mage + Bloodflame is a super broken combo. Me and a buddy were able to duo all the erdtree bosses in order up to the northern lands with +0 Weapons. And it wasnt even a close fight.

I think the best classes are the Beast class and the Stormcaller, because the Beast class has overall pretty solid spells but the main strength of this class is the Greatsword of Hanma (easily deals 14K damage with one weapon art). The Stormcaller is very strong, because you can basically chain-stagger everything with the Spells and the Weapon for this class (Zephir Blades) is extremely strong as well especially the charged heavy because it does about as much poise damage as two Greatsword charged heavies.

Best class? Well, volcanist does a fuckton of damage, Stormcaller does the same with poise damage, godskin melts bosses with black firestorm... But honestly? MAY CHAOS... TAKE... *_THE WORLD!!!_*
