MTG player here, super jealous of your finds! The Serra's Sanctum 13:40 is worth $300 looks real, 14:31 is Timetwister depending on the printing (and if it's real) it is in the $1000's, 14:36 is a freakin Mox Jet one of the "Power 9" in the same league as Black Lotus. Again if it's real $1000's. Let me know if you want any help etc. There are apps you can install on your phone that will allow you to scan the cards

Jrebud the tote you found the Magic cards in it had a crucifix. Check it and see if the top slides upwards revealing an Exorcist kit inside, also known as a last rights kit. If so depending on its age, it could be worth a lot more than you paid for the unit. It looks just like one of the kits, same style and size of the cross. Just an FYI. Love you guys and I enjoy seeing all of your insane finds.

My parents have one. It has a small bottle of HolyWater in it, it slides up. Not sure if it was a Catholic thing or what. That is not our faith now.

The Magic find was really nice. It's possible those pixilated cards were just home printed proxies. One thing to keep in mind, check through a few cards and definitely go by dates on basic land cards because you could have an old deck using new lands. You have a Ravnica Allegiance and Guilds of Ravnica bundle box and it looks like you showed a Boros Guild Gate(not worth much) but there were definitely shock lands in those sets, which are worth money). Definitely take your time sorting through that collection. Also, Exodus, 1998, was the first set/year they used color coding of the set symbol to indicate rarity, so anything prior needs to be looked up to find the rarity.

Those patches you found are the 5 basic land types in magic the gathering. Forests green, mountains red, swamps black, plains white, and islands blue. Those cards are probably going to be a nice nice find. Cards without a date on the bottom left corner are from the alpha and beta series. And yes you can find super rare and expensive cards from each and every set. Very nice finds!

Hey guys I was so happy watching y'all driving cross the country, buying and selling those storage units only to turn around and donate all the money you made to St. Jude for the kids, y'all are doing Gods work. On vintage shirts one way you can tell the older shirts is by looking at the stitching on the sleeve and at the waist look for single stitching most new shirts have double stitching. Hope that helps!

13:42 is a Serra’s Sanctum and depending on the condition can range anywhere from $230-300. Some of the pixelated cards are most likely proxies (printed off an inkjet), but besides those, a collection like that you’re probably looking at thousands of dollars. I’d love to go through that, nice find!

Also the deck at 14:58 you had a demonic tutor ($30-150), argothian enchantress ($35-40), jet medallion ($25-30) and an Urborg tomb of yawgmoth ($35-40) from just what I could see. The value really adds up fast, there’s a TCGplayer app that you can scan the cards with your camera and it will tell you the value.

The pixelation he is talking about is actually the blurryness of the lettering not the artwork which is common for alpha and beta i can tell you the time twister he showed is exactly like my beta one

That Jean jacket was cool. I sold a couple thousand of dollars of MTG cards for a friend, sweet. The black lotus was first printed in 1993. Only printed in Alpha, Beta and Unlimited. Check the set name. The same card varies dramatically depending on the series it was released. But some newer cards can be worth money. Gah, I’d love to be there to help you. I did a lot of research. Older versions of Ancestral Recall, Mox Sapphire, Mox Jet, Timetwister, Mox Ruby, Mox Emerald, Time Walk, foil Intuition, Underground Sea, Copy Artifact and so on. Watch for foils. And look for Alpha and Betas. The band pics were cool.

If both the Mox Jet andf Timetwister are Beta Edition, you've got more than 20k in those two alone. If it's Alpha edition, way more. Everything else is a huge bonus.

I honestly think you should find at least one Magic expert in your area to sit down with and just look through all the cards to give you a good idea of their values. They may even buy some (or all) off of you. It's worth noting that while older cards do tend to be more expensive, newer cards shouldn't be written off! There may be some expensive rares in there worth $20-100 each, which an expert would know. You really scored the motherlode!

So those safe's are the easiest to get into. You can pop the black face right off with a prybar and a hammer and it will open right up. Just put the prybar between the seam of the black piece and the white piece and give it a tap with the hammer. It should part it. repeat in different places until it is evenly gapped. At this point you should be able to pull it straight out and the thing should open. That said a lot of these locking devices have a code on the lock cylinder you can often just type in the number and brand name of what it's on into google or Ebay and get new keys for them. This works with gas caps and canopies too BTW. Lastly most of these locks are not that hard to pick. You can often just keep any keys that you find and find one that fits the shank pattern of the keyway and jiggle the key in the lock as you randomly pull and push the key in. It might take several tries and several random keys but you'd be surprised how often you can jiggle a lock open with and unmatched key. This could go a long way to being able to retaining any value the said boxes might have on their own. Cool score on the cards. :)

The silver bordered magic cards are from joke sets. The pixilated cars are probably proxies (not real cards). There's a lot of valuable cards from all through magic history. I think I saw at least a couple in there that are with somewhere in the $20 range. So definitely get someone to look through them

Silver bordered MTG are from an "UN" set and are usually about doing something goofy or out of the norm for regular play. They are quite fun sometimes.

@@Zerox271 I played back in 94-95 and my experience has been that it Is EXTREMELY RARE to find someone playing with 2 Live Power 9 cards. They usually proxied them and had said cards in hard cases on their person for proof.

The way to see if a t-shirt is old is all the seams are single stitch and newer ones have a double lines of stitches ....

I can’t say for sure why they locked up the notebooks, but they might have been Moleskines, which are well-beloved by writers, and quite expensive. On the other hand, maybe another commenter was right, and the books have invisible ink (perhaps with details of their “sales”?. Judging from the Live Aid book, and era of Rock memorabilia, they’re a Gen Xer like me.

Here are 15 rare cards. Tundra goes for 4k-5.5k, Chaos Orb goes for between 3k-8.5k, Timetwister normally runs for 8k the beta version of the card runs for 15.8k, Mox Pearl 8k, Shivan Dragon 3-6k, underground sea 6500, mox emerald 6500 up to 20k, Mox sapphire 9500 to 50k, Mox Jet 7600 to 10k, Time walk 9000, Mox Ruby 9400, ancestral recall 21k, Blue Hurricane has sold for up to 30,000, Black Lotus is currently worth 75k. and if you have Mox opal, emerald, sapphire, and jet plus the black lotus probably close to the 200k mark depending on condition.

The silver edge magic cards have very valuable basic lands! It’s a special set of spoof or prank cards. The patches are magic, the symbols for the mana or color power you use in game to play. You’re going to want to look for dual lands.. they have odd square lines where the text is on the bottom. Also, look for the power 9 which includes the black lotus an the mix cards, library of Alexandria.. mostly white border cards. The sets you want to find are alpha, beta and unlimited.after unlimited (aka 3rd edition) you’re going to see black border cards.. legends, the dark and some other black border cards are $$$. The boxes you found are also desirable, especially for card shops to flex with their decorating..

You two should definitely study up on blankets and vintage T-shirts. Certain good all-wool blankets - perhaps like the one Amber tossed aside - can sell for more than $100 on eBay. With T-shirts, the sky's the limit - some go for $500. You should definitely auction the CDs if they are good titles. Those are Metro shelves in the unit - they sell used for about $100-200 per shelving unit.

When you get a storage unit, and start going through the boxes, and sift through what you think (hope!) Has value, and you come up with a rough $ value, how close does your estimated value compare to what you actually get? Thank you 🤓 great computer finds! Huge Magic: The Gathering card collection!! 🤓 Some of the boxes of Magic cards might be a deck, where the card player has certain cards to use during a game - a pre mixed deck.

In the Across the Block section (page 10, Nov 4 issue) they show a sealed beta starter deck of Magic the Gathering cards from 1993 - received as a Christmas present and never opened. Auctioned at the Bruneau & Co in Cranston, Rhode Island for $18.750.

That time twist card is worth a bunch!! It’s part of the big 3 cards used in early magic moneyyyy cards!! So look for time twist, ancestral recall, and time walk. Also the mox’s are also valuable! I wish I still had mine!! Also dual lands are valuable as well

Hi Jebus and Amber! I hope you didn't donate those Pink Floyd concert t-shirts . The guy was definitely a huge fan. He had all of The Wall memorabilia and it is highly valued. If you sold it all as a bundle you could probably get more for it. A small gold mine in that stuff alone. @23:30 when playing Magic there's some note taking involved, so that probably why there's so many note books 📚 Awesome unit! Definitely not what you'd expect going in. Jebus, here's my take on your observation about nerdy dealers... okie so he has a huge collection of magic cards and a really expensive collection of Pink Floyd concert memorabilia. My take is his expensive habits don't necessarily go up his nose.

Sweet find! Grey border magic cards are usually from the UN series. The land cards will have some value.

Black Lotus Estimated Value: $100,000 to $250,000. I also found this: Black Lotus card from Magic: The Gathering ’s original launch - August 1993, so, happy upcoming 25th anniversary, while we’re at it - went for $87,672 after bidding closed this week.

Very cool finds on the cards!! Makes me think of a friend's house I helped clean when she got sick, her grandsons room was horrible and I remember throwing pokemon and magic cards away because they were just scattered..now I could kick my own butt for that🤦‍♀️..
