My kids started dove hunting with us when they were 3 and 4 then started duck and deer hunting the following yr when they kinda got the concept you gotta be still and quiet some of the time. They are both addicted to the outdoors. They love checking trail cams, putting in food plots, and scouting missions. Its so much fun to take them with and listen to them talk about whats goin on during the hunts and watch them as they learn.

Hey Bobby! I have a turkey gun the Knight "TK 2000" that came with an extra-full choke. It shoots 85% of #6 in a 30-inch radius @ 50 yards! I developed a 00 buckshot load for it after a lot of experimentation. It is an inline muzzle loader. I shot a doe, running full with my beagals behind her, @ 50 yards. I aimed 1 foot in front of her and had 6 out of 15-00 buckshot hit her in the vitals. I am glad you found you an awesome extra-full choke. I love mine!

I started taking my son with me when he was 3 years old. I'd take him on warmer days so he wouldn't get to cold. I bought him a 22 cricket for his sixth birthday and tought him gun safety. He just turned 10 years old and I have him shooting Clay's. Next year will be his first year youth hunting. My advise is teach them young. Some of my greatest memories are hunting with my dad when he started taking me when I was 4 years old.

Bobby, Love the positive vibes you put out on your videos man, really appreciate that. I also run a pattern master code black but duck instead of goose in my SBEII with great results. Tried the black cloud “new flight control wad” 3” #3 with terrible results, going back to blue box. Keep doing what you’re doing with your videos, I keep coming back for more every post. My dad didn't hunt some guy I went to church with hot me and my brother involved around 8. Started teaching the basics and safety. Wasn't allowed to she a deer rifle untill I was 11. That was just the age the men had decided upon for all their upcoming hunters. So thankful for those men. Started w squirrel and dove. Then rabbit, deer and Turkey. Around the age 14 had the opportunity to learn about duck hunting and go I just had to help pour the spillway and cut and brush the blind. Was alot of work but really paid off. Youth season the hole was full and me and my brother couldn't hit anything. They tall us to start practicing skeet. That summer we shot and shot and shot. Filled 5, 5 gallon buckets with shot shell hulls. Come duck season if it came in range we were on em quick. Made a huge difference. I'm still learning every day. Love watching your videos. 26 now w 3 little ones of my own excited to teach them the outdoors. I'm running a m3500. Got it cheap was headed to buy a franchi n this was half the price. Lil heavy throws a heck of a turkey pattern and has served me well so far. Been running the Carlson cremator lr. Curious what the patternmaster would look like next to it on paper at 40. I too run the fed blue box #2. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into all this. Happy hunting, stay safe.

I just returned from an Arkansas duck hunt and testing some tungsten loads I had developed. I had a 5/8 oz load of #10 tss for the 410 running at 1420 fps which did great out to 55-60 yards on bluebills and ruddies with an improved cylinder choke and was running a 1oz load of #7 15g/cc shot at about 1615 fps in the 12 gauge and we had consistent kills out to extreme ranges with multiple kills at 80+ yards with regular extended modified chokes.

Newer boxes of Black Cloud can be used with the Pattern Master. The box will have a red stripe that says "NEW FLIGHTCONTROL FLEX WAD WORKS IN ALL CHOKES". And with the 3" BB, they changed the base from brass to nickel plated. I have a case of 3" BB I can't shoot through my Pattern Master, so I bought a Jebs choke and that thing is a hammer, too.

Love the channel Bobby, keep the great content coming! Thumbs up for Fred as well! If you ever get a chance, maybe give Muller Chokes a look. I've been running the Patternmaster with good success in the past but I wanted to try out something new this season. Not kidding, my first hunt with the Muller was lights out and I was no longer crippling birds. Been smashing birds ever since. I'm no where near a great shot so it could've been a fluke but might be worth checking out.

Hey Bobby so glad you got a patternmaster i love mine. I just wanted to point out that its not a full choke. How patternmaster works is it grabs the wad and the shot leaves the barrel even tighter that a real full choke. Look into it, its verry cool.

Lemme tell u what Bobby. That choke is no joke. It’s such an amazing piece of equipment and you will definitely never regret it. Such a badass choke. I’m known around all the boys for being able to shoot ducks at the furthest. If a duck is “out of range” for everyone else, u already know I pull up and knock birds down. Impress everyone. Best option on the market for long shots

If you want the best long range combo get a 10 guage I use a remington SP 10 and Rhino extended coke and TSS shot just a little more shot than 12 guage 3 1/2 but a 12 lb gun to absorb the recoil and weight helps follow through etc at long range but a little hindrance to shoot near horizontal because of weight. This used to be my turkey rig when hunting from blind and Nitro custom tungsten shells. A specialty rig for sure and harder to hit close or fast birds changing angles. I have killed a turkey at 85 yards with this combo (thought it was about 70. Problem is most people miss due to aim so they need modified choke and don't soot past 45 or at most 50 yds.

I shoot 3' #2 heavy metal. Yesterday dropped 2 honkers from roughly 50 yards after that. The pattern really starts to open up. But you definitely can still get some steel on target around 65/70 just don't expect a tight group. I also have a better group with the 3' than the 3 1/2 using a stoeger m3500. Also if you hunt timber and have Woodies at sunrise up close, don't pull the shot at all or you will miss by a mile. It's very tight up close.

Bobby! you should bring your son on the next hunt you go on, i was going goose hunting with my dad before i can remember, and if you give him some ear protection and enough layers he'll be in heaven!

You cant shoot the old black cloud threw it but the new stuff has a flex wad and is good to go !!!! You can shoot as big as you want threw this tube because it does not use constriction .. cheers

Black cloud fixed that issue with the flight control wad. If you read the box it states that your able to shoot out of ported chokes. I have never had an issue with the new design. Shooting the same choke.

My daughter is now 9 been hiking since she was 2 in the cold, take a twig stove they help find wood then cook, put up trail cameras then back to a warm truck. Two things, kids younger than 5 have a hard time articulating how cold they are, and second don't ever miss the chance to take them.

I picked up 20 lbs of 15g/cc #7 shot for about $22/lb and I've been running 1 oz of shot at 1500-1615 fps depending on the wad. Comes out to about $38/25 shells which isnt bad at all for shooting tungsten. You get the pellet count of #4 steel with the energy of b steel. Lethal penetration to at least 75 yards. As far as pattern goes, for shots over decoys to say 40 yards or so, skeet choke is perfect. For large ducks pass shooting to 60 yards ic was plenty of choke. I'd only run a modified if I was shooting smaller ducks at 60+ yards. The stuff patterns insanely tight.
