Canadian Tire is actually appropriately named. It has a big automotive section and they're a mechanic. So what makes them unique is that you can bring your car in to be fixed, and then go and buy let's say, a blender, a new pillow, a lawn chair, a bag of chips and a house plant all while you're waiting until your car is ready to go. lol ♡

She sleeps soundly while HL auto plays which is good because when Jim plays, she's mom again and she laughs her ass off. She's like "stop this for a minute and get me a tea while I go to the bathroom, he's so funny I might pee my pants" Then on the way to the bathroom she stops her walker and asks have you heard this guy before?" Worcestershire sauce, contained in both Bloody Marys and Caesars is a fermented anchovy sauce. Mmm enyzme broken down aged fish. It's there to add Umami (savoury) flavour. I imagine the clam juice is there to make a more complex taste along the same lines. I can't say I've heard of someone hosting a party make Caesars from scratch with clam juice or making their own clam broth, rather than pre-mixed Clamato. I have heard of bloody marys from scratch.

Jim Gaffigan really has Canadians figured out. I spent a couple of years there as an American. They liked to to complain about America to me. I sometimes thought, “Hey, I’m an American right here in front of you, and I’m not so bad, am I?” Then after complaining they would offer to give me a ride home and buy me coffee. I eventually figured out their bark was much worse than their bite. Most Canadians have a really good sense of humor, they are willing to laugh at themselves. I think it is a national strength for them.

As a Canadian ... high five. So funny. A gentle ribbing of our culture. Plus ... no swearing! I have become so tired of really funny comedians who feel that every element of the English language: noun, verb adjective, adverb ... everything except the definite and indefinite article can be substituted by the “f” word. Jim does not need to rely on using off colour language to be funny. And a funny take on Canada. He gets it!
