My local journey began in August 2018. At that time i felt like i hit a plateau in my life and was on sort of a spiritual quest to understand myself on a deeper level. I was 25 years old, somewhat confident, but still confused about alot of things. I wanted to be different, i wanted to break rules and be unapologetically black. I started my locs and didnt look back since then. I was washing, retwisting, & maintaining my locs by myself(which wasn’t the best idea looking back.)
I learned so much about myself, my hair played a huge role. I love locs, and there are so many beautiful people with locs. If i do it again, i know how to do it way better. As of a few days ago, my spirit led me to ending my journey. And im just sharing some thoughts in this video. Thanks for watching.
