I am from U.K. and have seen Adam Lambert in concert here with Queen. He is amazing. But on discovering Dimash, I listen every day and have travelled to three different countries just to see Dimash. I am also going to his concerts in Budapest and Istanbul. I’ve never travelled to any other country to see a singer, only Dimash, so I think you can see how I rate the two singers. Dimash goes above and beyond as a performer. Has learnt songs in many other languages, plays a few instruments, dances etc and experiments with styles and seeing what else his voice can do, all the time. Such dedication. Plus, he is respectful, loving, patriotic and humanitarian. Us dears appreciate Dimash for his whole personality.

I would recommend not to do the comparison. Adam is a wonderful singer, one of the very best. But he would lose very quickly, Dimash's range in terms of pitch, expression & styles is just too great. A comparison would only lead to bitterness between devoted fans, and that's the antithesis of what Dimash is all about.

I don´t think you were entirely wrong. Dimash´s natural voice type is high tenor. You were wrong only about the "nothing special", because Dimash has a huge extension in both directions, that is, in both his lower and higher register. Normal people are limited by their natural voice type, Dimash is not!

Since Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time, comparing him to anyone else would see Dimash blow anyone else out of the water/ballpark. By the way, you have not seen anything yet!

You are correct. Dimash is a tenor (he described himself as such in one of the intervies), however he extended his range over the years. He has been working on his voice, singing since age of 5. To be a singer was his only dream.

Comparison with Lambert? NOT a good idea. The fan bases for each artist are very unlikely to switch their loyalty. And it could generate anger and upset if the fans of one criticize the other artist. I admire Adam Lambert. I have listened to Dimash-and ONLY Dimash-daily since discovering him in 2017 when he was 22 years old. For me, NO ONE can compare!

Adam is one of the best vocalist out there but in terms of technique and range, control of that range, Dimash is superior. ❤ The only thing Adam might have over Dimash is the fact that he is a native English speaker. I love them both but I am only obsessed with Dimash. 😂

But Dimash is THE greatest singer and vocalist of this generation and perhaps the last 30 years. This is not just fanboy talk. This is fact if you consider every part of what makes a vocalist extraordinary (vocal technique, vocal control and range, texture in tone, breath control, pitch control, versatility, ability to sing anything from opera to pop to any genre and to switch between voices flawlessly etc). He is unique as an artist and deserves even more recognition than he gets.

I think that in order to believe that what he is doing is absolutely phenomenal, it would be nice to start with his live concerts (Gakku, Almaty, Astana, New York, HongKong, and earlier ones in Moscow and China).

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Qobyz for that. The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. In the end of Stranger he introduced him to the audience and he thanked them. As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Igor Krutoy as I understand is a great composer and he is composing music for Dimash’s voice. I think he wrote this one. I love Dimash ❤ and I love Igor ❤ two beautiful, incredibly talented and creative artists 😊 I’m 67 years old now and was raised on opera. My favourite all time singer before Dimash was Ivan Rebroff who God bless his soul passed on a few years ago. He was Russian and Jewish, born in Poland 31 July 1931. His was the best voice I had ever heard even though I love the three tenors, Placido, Jose and Luciano. Ivan had a 6-7 octave range and sang the most beautiful and excellent songs about Russia. You could feel the tradition and pride in the music. His music conjured up images of men on strong horses riding through the snow or men in their red outfits doing a Russian dance. He sang Fidler on the Roof in Paris, matinee’s and evenings for one thousand days straight. I saw him three times on the times he came to Australia. Now 😁 here is Dimash ❤❤❤ Oh my goodness he is better and when I hear songs like Stranger and Wind in the mountains I am transported to a realm where you think he is calling up his fatherly ancestors. I absolutely love his music 🎶 Although I can’t sing a note, I’ve always been happy to be a nobody who was born to appreciate great music however when I hear Dimash I truly wish I could be a part of their tradition. I love both Dimash and Adam Lambert and they are both incredible talents. I think I would give the edge to Dimash simply because his range is wider than Adam's but I love them both.

His musical and singing, acting and directing talents just keep unfolding at such a high level that is astounding, so it is not fair to anyone to be compared with him. He keeps on raising the bar as he goes, and is about to turn 30. So there is still a long way for him to go in many areas. He sounds to be impossible as a human, and you have heard the expression that angels walk amongst us, and perhaps that is what he is. But whatever he is, he is a huge blessing to mankind as his frequencies heal and refresh, and he is helping to restore music and grow it to a level it would have reached ages ago if Hollywood had not changed the basic frequency of music to create chaos and distortions in health and living. If you have the time to listen, you too may be addicted and blessed by his sounds and presence.

I was in Dimash concert in Prague on 16 Apr 2022. I was so impressed with the beauty of the city of Prague. The most impressed me the beautiful architecture of the buildings. I could stop and stand in front of practically each building and enjoy it as so many beautiful details on them preserved through the history. My friends all the time dragged and pulled me asking why I stop in front of each building and I was keep pointing them on the amazing details. And Czech people were super friendly. Sir, I knew Adam Lambert since his debut about 15 years ago and by American singer's standard, I can say he is one of the best vocalist America has to offer. I have just discovered Dimash about 9-months ago. I can confidently say that Dimash Is the World's Best Singer, Best Voice. Please spend a little more time to discover all of his catalogue and his musical achievements, find out why he is different but yet still superior compared to other artist you have today. Btw, I have seen both of their concerts and I know what I am talking about here.

After I attend the Budapest concert I am traveling to Vienna and then to Prague. Do you think seeing Chesky Krumlov would be a good day trip option? Igor Krutoy is the composer and has collaborated with Dimash frequently and loves composing for Dimash’s amazing vocal skills. Olimpico was one of the first compositions from Igor Krutoy for Dimash. I agree with other comments why would you want to create such a toxic environment between fan bases. I'm a fan of Adam Lambert's as well but I've no desire to pit them against each other and some manufactured comparison or competition against each other. That's a horrible thing to suggest. The idea that other musicians should compete or be compared to one another is a lot of what's wrong with the industry. Everyone should be supporting each other and pushing for everyone else to be better That way everyone is better.

In 2022 I heard Dimash for the first time performing “SOS” and I became mesmerized! I have never followed or been a true fan of any other artist in my life. I would fall in love with this or that song for a couple of weeks and then forget the melody. However now I listen to Dimash only, everyday. His art is permanent to me. I don’t compare him to any “street/commercial” singer. He’s unique. I don’t go to concerts for any other artist not even in town, but I have gone to Kazakhstan, Malaysia and will go to Budapest just to hear Dimash live! If you decide to do the comparison you must listen to more than just two songs of Dimash. Each performance is different from the other and his vocals are always amazing. He’s even more mesmerizing performing live…

Igor Krutoy is a renown Russian composer who was getting ready to retire. He had a retirement party and had a retirement tour planned around the world and then he heard about Dimash. He went to one of Dimash’s concerts and then decided to come out of retirement and write music for Dimash. Whenever he’s playing the piano, that means he wrote the music. Dimash did a song by Queen, “ The Show Must Go On” during the competition in China. The music he sang in that competition,”I Am Singer” or ” The Singer” is available on KZfaq in one video. “S.O.S.” Was the first song sung at that competition. Dimash was the youngest singer, the only amateur, and the only non-Chinese singer they ever allowed up to that moment. The day after Dimash sang and it was televised on China’s tv station, they had to hire bodyguards for Dimash. He had so many fans that they had to protect him from them. Please don’t be like a lot of people who like to compare Dimash to another singer, from Mariah Carey, to Adam Lambert, to Michael Jackson and so on. As soon as you do that then Dimash has a song that you’ll listen to and it will change your mind. The next song I suggest you hear is “Olympico”. Krutoy wrote that song and Dimash sang it at the opening of the European Games in 2019. Dimash was classically trained from the age of five. He still has a vocal coach. He says that if Pavarotti can still have one at age 70, so can he. He has a masters degree in music. He plays several instruments. He was supposed to get started on his doctorate but COVID put a stop to that. Now I believe he has started on it just recently. Dimash was offered a job with the local opera house in Kazakhstan but he turned them down. He wanted to sing what he called neo-classical music. Dimash also has some music video that are like short movies, that he has directed. He has few songs that he has composed for himself. By the way, Dimash is going to be 30 in May. He is 6’3” tall, I’m only giving that info because some people think that he is a short guy. He is the kindest, most modest person you’ll ever meet.
