I think that the best way to do the rom hack/PM thing is that you can only do one of those per month for a given game. So if you did Emerald tomorrow, you can’t do Emerald Rogue until next month and then Emerald Kaizo until after, and so on. Maintains variety while still showing off the unique experiences

Fun bit of lore for y'all. Back during the Plus era, Jacob and Jo played a KZfaqr simulation game. Their current pfp is a golden version of the avatar they created for that game. During that video, they decided to have their avatar play Minecraft because duh, and they titled the video something so unfunny, yet completely plausible that they ended the video crying. That title was "I Didn't Order a Creeper".

I think mods like Project M and Emerald Rogue where the game is drastically different should count as separate games. But mods where one character has new physics (like DK mod mentioned) should not count. To sum up what Jacob said, Size DOES matter.

I think it counts as its own thing when you refer to it as "We're playing Project M" instead of "We're playing Brawl with mods." If it presents as it's own package and is playable as it's own package, it counts.

I certainly want to see PM. The Emerald Rogue-like was heat. But a pokemon randomizer doesn't seem like a different game by my arbitrary standards. I think a good rule would be one mod per game. This would allow for Brawl and PM but not go overboard. I trust the judgement of the team

This episode is more of a podcast than most "actual" podcasts. I don't comment much but that thought occurred and I cackled to myself and couldn't help but say it... aaaand too much more, cos why not? Been watching since SmUltimate came out, got sucked into alpharad and *plus around cpucs times, been a massive fan ever since. Jacob and Jo are honestly the only reason I even open KZfaq. Have watched some earlier stuff, and have more than gone back and watched their stuff when they don't upload for awhile, just to hear them. I've found myself going back to watch them play games that I'm not even remotely interested in. Jo is so goofy and Jacob's voice is so soothing, to me at least, and the beauty, banter, and rawness of their friendship is so refreshing. This year has been so amazing cos I know I get to watch them every day, although to admit I've been a bit busy with life and behind with watching; all the better though, more for later. I tend to watch them before bed because like I said, Jacob's voice, and personality/demeanor in general, is literally SO soothing it usually helps me relax enough to fall asleep. Sometimes it takes me days to make it through a single episode. I feel like I'm friends with him, like he's just so real and in the bullshit world we gotta deal with, it's more than a breath of fresh air to listen to someone that can make you feel like you've always been homies. I'm ranting a bit, might have had a few too glasses of wine. Oh well, I've typed too much to go back now, maybe I hope he might see this random comment on a month old video. On the romhack/mod discussion: if its an overhaul (changes up core features and/or add new mechanics which would pass for a new game if officially released) like the mentioned project m+emerald rouge then it is good. If it is something like makes DK wide smash mod then no, that just changes a single element in the game, it doesn't actually create a new experience, exception might be able to be made if you add a ton of different mods to make a whole new experience like wide DK+speed up+change frame data+Lyn mod all at the same time in the game but that is up for debate. Ultimately, I think you can reason out if a mod does enough to justify treating it like a different game, you bring up project M because we all can generally agree it does so much that at that point your only in the most technical sense playing brawl, while if you did something like wide DK you're still playing whatever smash game you were playing before. I was actually wondering myself if project M would count for this channel and I think yes.

Don’t know if you’re gonna read this Alpha. But just to let you know, Lexapro has weird side effects from withdrawal. This is coming from somebody who’s taken it for years. 1. You get an almost “electric” sensation every few minutes 2. You are more prone to panic attacks on day 2 of withdrawal. 3. You feel odd in a indescribable way But that’s just my experience with it. Good luck with your stuff. And hope this helps in some way.

The way I see it is that if you have something like PM or emerald rogue, go based on just how different the experience is. For instance. Emerald Rogue has mega evolution and gen 8 pokemon, So it's different from regular emerald very significantly. PM has wavedashing and L Cancelling, its very different from brawl
