Wizard is inarguably the weakest character, but it's very fun. Turning the game into Touhou is fun and Melee Wizard is even better because they can't complain.

Quite frankly competitive YOMI is wayyyy different than us lowly casuals (lmao) and I'd agree with you that they are not the weakest. I don't believe the character can truly be "bad", just the weakest, and at a competitive level the player matters more than the character.

The reason why I believe wizard is weak is because they are insanely set up reliant and their only defensive options are almost entirely preemptive, with the exceptions being orville the orb or chucking rocks at someone. Ya can't just teleport, armor, or out maneuver the cowboy who just ruined your entire plan with a single teleport. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, I mean that's how they're balanced, but he is so setup-reliant most of his gameplan is shutting you down so he can control the field. Thankfully, people are learning melee wizard which is seemingly harder to counter (oh no i can't just press block to ruin this person's entire plan whatever shall i dooooo). If you can't make a move you have to do the equivalent to swimming naked with a bison steak in shark infested waters in order to get the game moving, and if you lose, you're pretty much stuck in combo prison. Why do you believe that Ninja is the worst?

Wiz's combo game is stronk. Even against someone who knows what they're doing, I can get a good third of their health off any hit.

That's fair, but imo robot is much closer to fighting cowboy and ninja then fighting wizard. Because wizard's who deal is keep-away and his moveset is built around not fighting head on, in a game full of head on fighters. Other characters do have range, but wizard has like 3 sniper rifles taped together. Basically I find it more fun when I can fight my opponent in a fighting game directly rather than dodge their undertale level bullethell spam.

@@panda_commanda its just the fun part of it. >:) Tournaments are soul crushing even for a chill person like me (and I mean very chill.). Its hard to make me cry (even if I opened up my leg like I've done, I wasn't that scared). I get panic attacks while playing them if something terrible happens.
