I am in a better place now and gardening my days away you could say. I can’t wait to show you what l have done so far, it’s coming along nicely. Have soil and mulch being delivered today. It’s not the best day as it’s raining but l am not afraid to get out there and get wet 😊 🙏🩷🩷🩷

It is perfect and so far apart from it being chilly here l am enjoying my time and Tan who owns this place is a lovely person. I have a 12volt heated blanket thankfully that keeps me warm and comfortable at night. I do have insulation in the roof which does help but the floor feels like ice, wool socks and slippers are a must. 🙏🩷🩷🩷

Might need to check out Bunnings or one of those stores for a non slip carpet runner or something narrow for warmth on the floor ​@@AVanADogAndMyself

Estee, staying in your own home if you’re able to is the best option, actually I wish one could do this for their whole life. To be honest if the government were wise enough they would fund more elderly with support to do this, especially if one’s health is not an issue. It is wonderful your son is able to help you out at the moment. I get what you’re saying about privacy and especially feeling that we would be invading others space, it becomes a weight on our shoulders no matter how often we are told otherwise. We do have to change the whole way we live and we know that we would go above and beyond to help out as much as possible, it’s exhausting and l remember that being how l felt. Much love 💗🩷💗 Gaye

I did this video in my son’s yard, just prior to moving to where l am now. It was how l was feeling then but l love where l am now. As much as my son made me welcome, inside l felt like l was a burden and it was something I was struggling with. Why l found a place where I could be where l could find my own space and not be a bother or burden to anyone. After being independent since l was 18 years old it was hard, especially needing help from my children. I did feel that the past couple of years I had become a burden to them. 🙏🩷🩷

@@storminight I’m loving it here, Tania has made me feel so welcome and apart of her family. We have our own separate space but we get together everyday and have a chat. It is a horrible feeling, a weight on one’s shoulders but fear l didn’t know if l could find my way again. It does hurt and you’re right, nothing is forever. Letting go and just being able to feel some independence is a great feeling. I can be by myself or have company where l am and that’s important to me. I can be here and find peace and not worry about who l am affecting if l choose silence for a few days. True, it could be worse, cold but l put on layers and do as l want, or snuggle with my heated blanket, either way I can be warm. 3 days of sunshine ☀️ l certainly appreciate we have a bit more than that here at least. Yes l am and it’s wonderful I did this video just prior to moving, to talk about how l was feeling and finding a place for myself. I never wanted to feel like a burden and I was feeling like one. I love my children and l know they love me but I needed to get back some independence for myself and l have found that here where l am now. 🙏🩷🩷🩷

Hey Annalise, always wonderful to hear from you. It’s a terrible feeling, even if the family doesn’t feel we are, it’s a weight on our shoulders. Family is meant to be ones to support each other in both good and bad times and many do, but we also can be strong and find independence as well. I think it is very hard to not feel like a burden when we are struggling as older adults and we need help, as we feel we shouldn’t be in this position. We are all very much at a point where finding our tribe who are willing and wanting to help and support each other, no out of obligation but because they want to, it truly does make us feel that we belong and we can help each other, we are not a burden, we are friends and have people who are in the same situation as we are, we will never be alone again. I have so much to be grateful for and I know l have more than many other people may have. A beautiful dog who loves me and what more do l need? To be there to support others and be a friend, not just someone behind a camera. Annalise l don’t have a PO Box as yet, I will look at getting one but honestly, your support with comments and watching is really more than enough.
