12 oz. fresh Brussel sprouts
1 T. olive oil
1 T. butter
3 shallots or 1/2 onion diced
6 slices bacon,diced
7 cloves minced garlic
corn off 2 fresh corn cobs, can use about 1 cup frozen corn

Looks like where I live. Birds did the same here. We love ours. My husband takes care of the bird feeder❤ I love the miracle of snow. You made me tear up. 😭 you are so sweet. Love your new cabinet and wall oven! The gray paint is very nice and Mr Brown did a beautiful job. Love the photo of him with little Avery and their snowman. What a wonderful memory that will be for her! Your Brussel Sprout recipe is so unique and I love Brussel sprouts, so definitely adding this to the recipe file. Loved the photo of the two of you together wearing aprons at the end. You should frame it and give one to each of your kids. They would love it! I have only tried them once when I was a child at a friend's house and didn't care for them. I remember my mother telling me to please try them again because everyone makes things different. We do love watching our birds . I’m always reminded of the Gospel song “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” . We know that God provides for the sparrows & am reminded that He watches over me. I too love snow! We used to have long, beautiful, snowy winters here in upstate New York but now get very little and miss it so much. I’m a winter girl at 65+, love the shorter days, tranquility, coziness and beauty of it and a lover of the birds too❤❄️♥️. Oh how I enjoyed this, love your new oven and your whole kitchen as our home is all very primitive too, blessings to you. Debby

I would be sitting in that rocking chair watching the birds also I just love the door like that red birds and that woodpecker beautiful.Mr Brown did an awesome job on the oven it's beautiful with the grey paint and I love you trimmed it in wood . brussel sprouts are my favorite I hated them as a kid but love those baby cabbages now .such a beautiful sight outside .thank you for sharing.God Bless ❤

Yes the snow is beautiful when it first comes but having below freezing temps with wind chills of -15 makes it hard to chore and really enjoy the beauty for very long! I love the variety of birds you have! Here in farm country we have more sparrows and starlings 😢 I saw a bluejay and a woodpecker this morning ❤ We love brussel sprouts and I've fixed it like that and yes it's delicious!

So relaxing watching the birds. We had a 1-1/2 feet first storm then a half day of reprieve the got hit with 3 feet here in the Mitten. Sure was nice looking out the window with the smell of a chicken pot pie and a cherry dump cake traveling through the house. I thank God for our wood cookstove. What a blessing. I love the birds. I feed them in the winter too. I don’t have any cardinals yet but yesterday I sat and watched a hawk for an hour sitting on my porch railing! I live in an urban area one level condominium, I have never seen one this close before. My sister, who passed loved hawks and got excited everytime she saw one, no matter how many times she saw them. I felt her close and just maybe she sent the hawk to visit me 🥰❤️

Got my snow to, Miss Lori, here in West Virginia...been busy shoveling paths in the snow, putting out birdseed, taking cat out and in few times a day, and packing wood in, ashes out, from my wood burning stove!!! That keeps me busy! You're right, it is a beauty to watch, I live on a ridge, and able to see across the valleys for miles. I could watch it for hours. So peaceful, makes you forget, for just a little while, all the crazy in the world . Best to you and Mr. Brown ❤ By the way, I love your cabinet colors!!! and homestead!

You better believe we know Phil. We adore his books and teachings. Actually, we had the pleasure of meeting him at church one Sunday when he came to speak and sign his book. Such a kind man. This is one of my favorite videos of yours that I have watched. 😊 On this very hot and steamy SC Summer day, I happened upon this one with that beautiful snow ❄️, the birds feeding at your feeders, the peaceful background music you chose for this. It was all wonderful! Then to see your charming kitchen with the new oven installed and matching perfectly with everything else in there. And then to end with what will be a perfect meal idea for me. I rarely eat meats. Just a pan of fresh vegetables cooked up like that with bacon or pancetta looks delicious 😋 I don't have many recipes using Brussel sprouts but I have a good one now. I love them! 😊❤
