Man that must feel awesome to have the nicest copy in the world (since removal of the promo banner is HUGE.) I say keep because it’s got to be one of the highlights of your collection.

I will say, as a caveat in fairness, VGA doesn't have this variant broken out from their data, so it is POSSIBLE that someone has a higher VGA grade copy that simply isn't properly tracked. But I haven't seen any... So for now, I'm taking the title until proven otherwise haha.

I would definitely keep it for now I think the hobby will just get stronger with more collectors getting into the field in the next few years as people are realizing that video games from the 80s 90s are so rare Factory sealed compared to other Collectibles Like Comics and cards

For this to sell for what it should, the market is going to need more people savvy enough to understand the importance of this variant. Even if a couple of others pop up in the intervening time, I still think you're gonna be well ahead of the game.

Mega man games are not really high point sellers. Even sealed and graded Its no Earth Bound ill tell you that much lol

Mega man 1 first print 9.4 A+ sold for $106,000 last month and mega man 2 9.6 A++ set a new sale record of $25,000 in the same auction. Heck, just tonight mega man 4 in 9.2 A+ sold for $3000 haha. I'm not sure what you do or don't consider expensive, but sealed mega man games have sold for far more than Earthbound ever has (Earthbound is also expensive, yes). You've gotta put more respect on the Blue Bomber, man!

@@GetTheGreg ah maybe graded is a different story. I've never looked into the graded versions. Don't think I've ever even seen a graded megaman game in person lol. Well I mean I just grabbed Punisher CIB for Genesis recently @ $450 and THAT was expensive lol. Either way I'll admit I was wrong and take the L. Id hold on to it before selling if it's going for that much right now. The retro market is like the housing market, there really is no ceiling because the demand will never stop.

@@mos_tekmusic7285 haha all good! The sealed/graded market truly is a different beast than CIB game collecting! Lots of its own nuance and certain games are like "super grails" in sealed form even if not all that sought after CIB. That's a sick pickup on that punisher game! Did it come with the little tattoo by chance? I know that most copies are almost always missing it haha.

@@GetTheGreg lmfao tell me about it; I've seen sealed and graded copies of Mario odyssey going for $500. I'm like wut?? Its available at GameStop for $60 💀. And yeah lol it's a crazy long story but theshort version is I drove 2 and half hours to be a good person after I seen someone selling an entire lot of games for $100 and not know what any of it was worth. and karma was watching.

Games were meant to be played. You should crack that baby open, play it for 5 minutes, and then go back to playing Elden Ring. You'll have wasted thousands and thousands of $, but the peace of mind of being a true collector is priceless.

I would have more faith in the grading and collection and selling process if the people involved with two of those stages also weren't involved with spiking the prices on the 3rd
