It was about to fall on the workshop, so I had to take it down. The 1st week of spring brings snow, cold, sun, warmth and rain as I finish maple syrup season with my family, go for a paddle with Cali and Nate, prepare the workshop area for expansion and collect rock for several upcoming stone masonry projects.

A number of years ago I did an 80 mile canoe/portage trek on the Boundary Waters in Minnesota with my son. It was one of the greatest weeks we spent together in the outdoors. Now at 58 and him being 30, I think it’s time we do it again. Thanks for the inspiration.

Yes, please go for it. I lost my only child/son last October. We used to take him fly fishing which we love to do. You never think your child will go before you…I didn’t. Would love to be out in the river with him during a hatch! Enjoy your son and hold him tightly ❤️.

Good call on the tree 🌳 Better to be safe than sorry ! I noticed how rich the soil looks there around the workshop and was wondering if it would be feasible to use some of that in the garden ,like a little here and there without taking away the nutrients for the trees? That's hilarious Cali found that tennis ball it's funny growing up fishing with my dad when I see water I always look for the best place to cast a fishing line in hopes of pulling out a big native trout.😊

Callie is so funny at one point she was behind a tree couldn't see her at all but that tail was waving gently! Since that is such a prime location for a tree maybe you could plant a sapling for the future.

I would love to see a multiple videos on tools. Details on tools when fishing/line weights, lures knives, nets, books, for certain fish etc. Tools used for bow hunting-types of bows, arrows, Broadheads,quivers, books, etc.. Tools for turkey hunting. Tools for deer hunting etc. I think it would be very helpful. Love your channel--it’s the BEST!

I enjoyed this video, especially the canoe ride. I was as anxious as Cali was it was beautiful so relaxing. What a beautiful life. I realize there is work to do a lot is strenuous work. You choose this life so I know you love it, that is what it’s all about. I love your way of living your way of life, honestly it doesn’t get any better than that. Real nice to have your wife, friends, visiting enjoying some of what you enjoy everyday. I enjoy my visit always do. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate it.😊
