🚶‍♂️ Exercise: The Foundation of My Journey 🏋️‍♀️
To kickstart my weight loss journey, I adopted a comprehensive exercise routine that played a pivotal role in my success. I made it a point to walk between 5,000 to 10,000 steps every day, which not only improved my cardiovascular health but also boosted my daily calorie burn.
Additionally, I incorporated strength training into my routine, hitting the gym four times a week. My workouts focused on lifting heavy weights and pushing myself close to failure, rather than opting for light weights and high reps. This approach helped me build lean muscle mass, elevate my metabolism, and turn my body into a fat-burning machine!
🥗 Nutrition and Calorie Deficit: The Game-Changer 🥦
While exercise was crucial, I quickly realized that nutrition played an equally vital role in my weight loss journey. I adopted a balanced and sustainable approach, focusing on nutrient-dense foods that nourished my body.
One of the most significant changes I made was creating a calorie deficit by consuming fewer calories than my body expended. However, it's important to note that I did this responsibly, ensuring I still met my body's nutritional needs. Tracking my food intake allowed me to stay accountable and make smarter choices, ultimately leading to a steady and consistent drop in body fat.
⏳ Patience: The Virtue That Sealed the Deal ⌛
Losing 27 pounds in just 12 weeks wasn't an overnight accomplishment. It required unwavering patience and a steadfast commitment to my goals. I had to remind myself that there are no magic pills or quick fixes when it comes to sustainable weight loss.
Remember, whether you lose 27 lbs 10lbs, or 2 lbs, the point of this video is to give you some practical tips you can use to help you in your journey!

I had the best results doing OMAD, it certainly was not Plant based. Not doing OMAD atm, as I am in maintenance mode. When I did OMAD ( just one way of eating - not a diet ) I lost 18 kgs / 39 lbs. No specific cardio - like going for walks or use of treadmill. I find it easier to not eat it and then there is no need to burn it off. Caveat. I was not sedentary, but NEAT really helped coupled with the way I was eating.

Went from 265lbs to 180lbs 2 years ago, then hit a depression after a rough breakup went up to 230lbs a solid ish 230 though. I was heavily against fruit for the longest time and just introduced it again yesterday after 2-3 years of no fruit just vegetables and i realised why my way of eating was failing🤣fruit is the answer

Because I'm new to working out so the days I strength train I get quite tired and it's a little difficult to hit 10,000 steps on those days. It's easier to hit 10,000 on the days I rest if that makes sense?

I lost 33lbs in 12 weeks with keto and intermittent fasting and zero exercise so when I saw the thumbnail I thought that’s not a big deal. I lost more. I think the better approach would have been to play up the muscle growth and it’s benefits. That is something keto did not give me. Just a little constructive criticism that’s all.

Hey Eric. Thanks for the video! just had a question about my particular routine. I like to do a full calisthenics superset (Pull ups and dips back to back) for 3 sets then go into my upper body exercises with dumbbells Monday, Calisthenics routine and lower body with dumbbells Tuesday, rest for two days and then have a full body routine on Friday. Is it fine to work the same muscles group back to back like this?

I am struggling heavily to track my calorie intake. I have a diary and app. But for me it is so hard to track calorie when I come home. There is already diner because one of my family member made food. So I tend to be unsure how much to eat. Other thing was eating out. I cannot make food for myself everyday. It is ineffective. In many ways. Buy my own ingredients, use pan and electricity. And then last weight ingredients. Do you have any tips for me?

So walking 5-10K steps per day is really hard. When I did this, it was 90 minutes per day. It's harder for parents to do , and espcially if you have other goals like upping your skills to get a better paying job.
