Күн бұрынBesides buying comic books from various online outlets I also really enjoy trading with fellow collectors to help grow my collection in a very economical way. In this video I discuss a little bit about that process and various ways trading books can be safely accomplished. I very big thanks to Tommy for helping me chip away at both my Adventure into Fear and Fantastic Four runs. I hope you're happy with your end of the trade and hope we can do it again soon!

It stinks, I see scammers on any platform I search almost every day. And thank you for the compliments on my Fear run. It was cool to finally see the first 9 issues together that just say "Fear." Thank you for watching!

Fun show. I look at a lot of virgin covers at my comics usually they're more expensive than the ones with the trade dressing. When I'm looking at covers and I pick one that I like many times it's not available or is very expensive. So when you hear the term a desirable book it really means something.

I have made a trade before woth someone...you may know him...haha. always a fun way to aquire books from like minded individuals. Also that feat and ff101 are super clean. Great pickups Brandon.

Great pickups! The best feeling after a trade is when you check your bank account after and there isn’t any damage. Only trades I’ve done have been in person - seem to always have trouble finding equal trades for bigger books. Pirate Ship is such a game changer. Wish all sellers would use it so it cut down on some pretty steep shipping fees.

It's a no brainer, I felt like I was doing something illegal the first time I used it because it was so cheap! Thank you as always for watching!

Old School Kid that I am, prefers to see a great trade dress. The used to jump off the rack at you in the old days. You should totally go for a nice long run of FF :) Those later issues can be had for really cheap (dollar bins, 'lot' buys on eBay etc). It was years ago and I realize things have changed since then, but I put together a run from 150-416 (the last issue of the original series) and it cost me very little. I bought a bunch of 'lot' and 'run' sales off of eBay where I was paying less than $1 a book. I ended up with a bunch of doubles - even triples - of some issues and I traded them for ones I didn't have. I got most of the rest of the issues in dollar (or less!) bins, garage sales etc. I realize that your "M.O.N" status makes that a little harder, but these comics are out there and there are almost no keys in the whole run...and it seems like keys are the only thing that today's collectors care about so I think you should be able to find someone willing to bulk-out the non-keys. If shipping wasn't so expensive from Canada, I could even help you out - I've still got some doubles and triples ha!

Ya know, I'm really leaning towards a longer FF run but I really wanna stay focused on the task at hand. I get jealous when y'all talk about dollar of fifty cent bins but I will fin them in the middle of nowhere! Thanks for watching as always!

@@Moncomics Yeah, we all have to be smart with our money and with the market being down, now is the time to pick up as many of the Lee/Kirby issues as you can - just know that the other issues (even the Byrne run!) is out there and can be had for cheap (at a later date!!)

Last 2 times I mailed from USPS, they gave me a book discount. Not sure if this is a thing, but it was significant discount.

It can definitely be nerve-wracking but if you do your homework, ask for references, and build your reputation it can be a fun and easy way to acquire books!
