I don't know you personally right, but from what I have seen in your vlogs you do a LOT for other people e.g. Gene. So I can definitely see how you are a "people pleaser", someone very socially attuned who does a lot for others. Definitely don't burn yourself out giving others what they don't give back. You’re not alone!! I’m currently working on it too. What helped me was learning how to say no first then follow up with what I would like. Setting boundaries to keep myself a priority has made a difference. Hope it helps!

I'm definitely a people pleaser. the fact that the other was suffering or happy always had an impact on me. it's different if you sympathize with something. but you cannot let that determine your life. the happiness or sadness of the other is not your responsibility and thinking about it takes so much weight off our shoulders. putting yourself first is the greatest act of self love and we deserve it so much

Omg same. I hate that I'm a people pleaser. It's so hard to say "no" because I don't like the feeling of disappointing them. I think as I get older I'll get better at it.

I remember there's a video somewhere saying that your MBTI is an ENFJ. ENFJ is known to be a people pleaser in relationships/people they love. They always burnt themselves out by giving too much. Not sure if it's helpful but you can look into your mbti and might be able to learn more about it :)
