Hi D J E, good work as per usual!, I cannot help but wonder just what these security people think they are doing!, they could be authorised to operate within the boundaries of their place of work but even there they must always display an SIA badge when all or any members of the public are around. I am also rather puzzled about what they think they are doing outside the boundary where they have no status other than as another member of the public. I do understand that much of this confusion and law-breaking is the result of inadequate training and that is entirely the responsibility of the employer while it is the member of staff who would get punished. The pleasant young woman who comes out also claims to be working for the company security but does not display her SIA badge, she does understand that you can film what you can see from outside where you are and engages in a sensible conversation, apart from the fact that she has no legal right to ask any questions. It is very good of you to offer her the information that you do. Cheers, Richard.
