Soup is the most under appreciated channel on “CarTube”. His skills for fixing a vehicle that is roached out is only surpassed by his talent for presenting that process in a wonderful entertaining manner and his dogged determination to do it right.

Resuming projects must be in the air. I just returned from a three hour round-trip yesterday buying a replacement engine for my project car. Unfortunately the original Was financially inconvenient to overhaul. Sometimes getting back on track with a project requires being truthful and coming to terms with what is fantasy and what is reality. Very excited to see the Lotus on its way to completion!👍

I am 7 years into the restoration of my Ra28. It is rolling, but parts are very difficult to source leading to cash flow issues compounded by low motivation over the winter period. I was having to warm the compressor sump with a heat gun before start up to avoid popping a fuse. But then there are some lads don't even have a compressor. I will get it finished. Just need to come up with a plan. Always enjoy the Lotus and your channel. Keep up the great work!

Really great to see you back on the Lotus. I was afraid this had become a "never to be finished" project. Don't knock yourself on the stainless welding. Only a fratcion of professional pipe welders can pass the stainless welding test. Stainless is tough to weld and takes lots of practice. Looking forward to the next episodes.

I am looking forward to this project for a while now and happy you seeing starting on it. You are in manny aspects in your videos one of the so not my most favorite builder. Together with m539 restorations which is totally different but very nice to. The dry sense of humor in your comment is something I love. And the effort you seem to put in the editing, like the differed little things in the videos in making the welds look going faster for instance. And many other thing’s in the editing that lots of viewers probably don’t even notice. But if you want to stand out in the crowd you have to do the extra. Considering Irish is not my home language I hope I make my self clear enough. When blasting an old piece of rusty metal make sure you blast it until all the black pitting is gone to before you priming and painting it. I am sure in Ireland they know that saying to: when it’s still black rust will keep coming back to. And sooner than you think. Ik hope you keep that in mind cause the proper way you handel similar cases in the Benz for instance, the Lotus certainly deserves at least the same ore an even better treatment. Keep on making your superb videos!
