Yeah! Congratulations, Joy-el, on your marriage. You deserve all the happiness in the world. Me and my husband did the same thing. Our first date was in early November 2001. He proposed to me in early November 2002, and we got married on November 8, 2003. We went to Interlaken, Switzerland for our honeymoon. One of my dreams was always to visit the alps in Switzerland. We just celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary yesterday! I pray that you and your husband will be as happy as me and my husband are. Your hair and dress looked gorgeous on your wedding day! Congratulations, Joy-el. And fyi … It’s very common to not get to eat anything at your wedding: I had basically zero food at mine, but maybe 1 or 2 drinks (despite there being a huge spread of seafood, jambalaya, etc). Just so busy thanking everyone, dancing, etc. Weddings are a blast, I think, but very little eating by the bride & groom, lol.

I love that hairstyle!! It would be pretty with contrasting bands too!! You looked amazing. Also don’t be upset about your makeup. I have learned that what looks good in real life doesn’t always look great in pictures. It is a compromise sometimes. You photographer is great. They really captured the emotion. I’m so happy you had such an amazing day!!

Those twist were installed perfectly! She did an excellent job! Your make up looked good for the camera. You didn’t have enough aunties at that wedding. That second tier of cake would have been in Tupperware containers in their purses!

The bride of a wedding I was in was very intentional about enjoying her food. She had time carved out to allow her to eat before she had to greet everyone. I think it was after we took pictures but before the introduction of the bridal party at the reception. She knew she would be hungry and also based on principle since she they were paying for it.
