Thanks for the Vid. Have a 2021 on order and will PU in St George when it arrives. Had to call allover 700 mile radius from SLC to find one and none in stock. Cant wait to hit those eagle mtn single-track and see how she handles over my 300xc.

Ha. Your CDI box came from my Beta dealer. I got a 2020 Xtrainer about a month ago. Love the bike. I am 6' and about 230 with all my gear and I think it is a great bike for how I ride. Stock suspension on the 20' from the owners manual already says it has 15w Fork Oil but I am not sure. Other than fast whoops I love the soft suspension. I am doing some test tuning this weekend as I just put the FMF Gnarly pipe on it and took out the Power Valve Spacer.

Great info here! Did you lose any bottom end torque with these mods or is it the xTrainer bottom end with RR top end (best of both worlds)?

Very cool. If u were to do it again would u just buy an RR or are u happy u went this route? I’m looking at picking up the xtrainer primary for the price. Or would it be better to just pay a lil extra and do the rr

That is a great question. I learned a lot working on this bike. I also learned a lot riding this bike. This bike is great for the slow technical riding but the suspension needs a lot of work if you want to ride at any speed or hit jumps (launching off boulders or downed trees). I gained a lot of respect for this bike but as I progressed I yearned for more. I think the 300rr (race edition in my case) deserves respect but at the same time you'll get a bike that's already setup to do hard enduro or race. So my answer is complicated. I started taking lessons from a local pro and if I would've already had my 300rr race edition I could've learned everything on that bike and not spent money or time working on the XTrainer. At the same time I really enjoyed my time and growth on the Xtrainer. It all depends on the rider. Thanks again for the question!

I have a '17 Xtrainer with FMF Gnarly, air box mod, and spacer removed. I blew out the original CDI along the way and considered going to a 300rr CDI at that time, but didn't, got an OEM Xtrainer box instead. Now I'm thinking maybe that 300 CDI would have been the next step. I was worried that the port timing / ignition difference between the Xtrainer and 300rr wouldn't warrant interchangeable CDIs. Have you noticed any specific differences in how the bike runs with the two different boxes?
@NaturallyCaffeinated

Yes, it ran fantastic! It was crisp with more top end. I loved the change. Keep in mind I also shaved the head as well. Thanks for the question and watching my video.

did the bike get any louder with the fat exhaust pipe header? i'd appreciate the extra oomph of a fat pipe but i have some pissy neighbours who always complain about noise

93 SSP which muffler you installed? Also, is the 300rr FMF exhaust system compatible with the strainer?

Did you notice any changes in mileage after the mods? I mean did the fuel consumption increased ?

@@NaturallyCaffeinated thanks for the response... although my question was about tha fuel. The fuel consuption is the same or higher after the mods? Cause i believe it is higher. I want to do these mods but i m afraid that i have to carry some extra fuel with me after that.
@NaturallyCaffeinated
@NaturallyCaffeinated 2 жыл бұрын
@@painkiller8383 The bike was absolutely more efficient. I burned less fuel. Keep in mind I ride hard enduro and I'm generally in 1st and 2nd gear most of the time. I have never run out of gas with this bike. The mods allowed me to ride higher in elevation and further on the trail. I averaged 4 hour rides at around 8500ft of elevation and never worried about brining extra fuel. The bike ran better, cooler and was dialed. I hope that information was useful.

@@NaturallyCaffeinated I have a 2019 and there is a plastic piece that is located in the top of the air box. It is secured by two bolts and it comes right out. I found it really opened it up and let. The bike breathe. There is a video on the removal on here just look it up.
