Head over to EarthBreeze.com... to get started with 40% of Earth Breeze Eco Sheets! Thank you for sponsoring today's episode and helping me make the switch to a more eco-friendly lifestyle xx.
Do we expect anything less in an episode? If only you knew I was over here researching how to tell if chicken eggs are fertile...
Even though this room renovation is not going "my way", it's truly taught me to change my perspective. From the windstorm to me breaking the TV with a single finger after all of that moving around; this episode had me questioning a lot to say the least.

This shows how much just stepping away, and especially sleeping on something, changes your perspective from self-blaming to self-compassion. It warmed my heart seeing you coming back and approaching this "failure" with healthy humor. You rock, Rachel! 💪🏽

Rach, here's a mud tip, always use the green lid all purpose compound but have a small box of plaster. Sprinkle some plaster into the compound and mix it up well. This will turn it into "hot mud" aka the "5 min mud". It'll make the compound shrink less and it'll dry really fast and hard. For the finish layer just use the compound with no plaster, it takes longer to (a lot longer) to dry but its smooth and easy to sand. You got this.

Ohhhhh boy, I knew from the thumbnail that THIS was going to be a hard one to watch. I wanted to jump through the screen and scoop you up in a hug when you were on the ground after the TV fritzed out on you! But I am SOoO glad you were able to pick yourself back up again so quickly (or, seemingly so quickly) and recognize how far you've come in your reno. So it's taking you longer than you had originally planned, and you are truly a super badass boss lady, BUT, you're still just one person with only two hands, out in the unforgiving desert. Most women would have never even dreamed of the life you chose for yourself, and certainly wouldn't have stuck it out as long as you have... but you're still out there, thriving as best as you can and giving mother nature the middle finger at every turn. Can you tell how PROUD of you I am? I've said it before, but I truly hope my daughter turns out to be even half the badass you are when she's all grown up (which is happening much too fast for my liking, of course) because then I know she'll fulfill her dreams, whatever they may end up being. (Only 14, so those dreams are as mercurial as the weather.) As for that ungrateful TV, I'm sure you'll come up with a fantastic idea to protect it from being accidentally smashed again, since you always do. The wall color is amazing, and I'm so excited to see the final product, whenever that happens (NO RUSH, of course!) Thank you so very much for sharing your work with us and for not sugar coating it! Seeing that you're not perfect is one of the reasons we all love you so much, ya know. Lots of love to you, your aminals 😂 and your property!

hey girl it’s totally okay to break down after something like that had happened, your frustrated and disappointed. It’s actually the healthy part of dealing with upsetting feelings; cry it out feel the feeling and then break down what the feeling is and how you can now fix the problem. which is exactly what you did!

Also,.. glad you got too where you did by the end of the video. You're doing great!!! So many people never get anything done because of analysis paralysis. Failing is growing. Sometimes it really sucks to not have things go perfectly but if the alternative is sitting around doing nothing until you know how to do everything perfectly, you'll be waiting forever. And don't be afraid to ask for help. People who already learned the hard way are usually always down to save people the growing pain, especially when they see you're truly passionate about it. You're getting so much done! and you're an inspiration!! You got this!!!

A really great and wise man once said it’s not the adversity, it’s how you handle the adversity. Life is full of hills and valleys, but you have shown an inner strength and grit and determination and wisdom in the face of the adversity and that speaks volumes about who you are. There’s an old song by Hellen Reddy “I am woman” kinda reminds me of you.

Hey you marvelous being! Just wanting to let you know how appreciated you are, even though I understand that everything we post it's somehow curated, I also understand the struggles behind it, especially in our general society. So having said that, I just wanted to express that all I've seen and mostly perceived of your journey, from your first videos till now.. has made me feel first as an anonymous cheerleader of your adventurous learning projects, the ferocity to teach yourself, the humbleness at asking for help or knowledge to others.. Thank you for sharing your lows and highs, and for respecting yourself whenever you choose not to post something. I hope it warms your heart to know you've got sisters around the world that you just haven't met, who wish you the best through all the love and admiration you inspire. If you're ever in Madrid and wish to meet sisters in arts, we are happy to welcome you to Haus of Jarta. Cheers from your argentinian sister! ❤

I just watched a video that said don’t stress if you eff up when DIYing renovations because you can afford to because you’re not paying anyone else to do it so yea take it easy! You could build a whole bathroom and smash everything in it there times and probably still pay less than what a builder and tiler and plumber and electrician would charge.

Coming along! Oof been there. When I was younger we had these PVC pipes that my grandpa gave me that I’d build stuff with as a kid. Different lengths, like 1 foot or so, different fitting. Anyways my friend made something, and then deciding to kick it while we were watching a movie, not thinking. A middle piece went flying and it totally cracked and ruined the TV. I see cheap nice ones all the time on Marketplace.

For the lazy susan, add more surface area at the base...theres a little bit of the edge free floating and adding some wood for those edge to sit on will increase the surface area which will more evenly distribute the weight. You can also consider adding a post in the middle to affix the stand to, just make sure no moving parts are affixed

When I was a kid I had a Sony Walkman that I accidentally dropped and broke the door that had a radio installed in it. I was so upset because it was my mom‘s so I sent the Walkman in with the letter explaining what happened and asked them to fix it. Two weeks later I got a brand new one in the mail. Sony’s great with things like that, explain to them that it would help if there were handles for easy installation by one person. Good luck and yes, you are only human and mistakes happen when we DIY.

Secondly, sometimes i get the feeling you're trying so damn hard (too hard) in some ways. My gut tells me that's why things keep going sideways for you. There's something in me seeking to tell the something in you to relax, breathe, slow down and find the joy in you. There's an element of flow that comes with creativity that feels like its mssing right now. I say this with all the love and support I have. You're amazing and so so talented, and something nudged me to tell you to find your flow.... ❤
