I paid a MOTOGP RIDER to COACH ME 1:1
Well Ive taken the humble step of going back to basics, and this time I've enlisted the help of a man who has ridden in the worlds top championships...including:
MotoGP, Moto2, WSBK, Suzuka, ASBK, NZSBK + many more!
Hands down the most productive coaching session I’ve ever had!

I used to do loads of trackdays. Club raced for 13 years. Spent a fortune on tuning and practice. If I had my time again I'd spend my money on training. No point going around in circles hoping to get faster on your own. Get some proper training and reap the rewards.

A small track with a 300cc bike is probably about as equivalent to karting is for road racing, and all pro drivers start in a kart… big engines and sick parts are great, but learning to push something smaller to its limit has more impact while learning the techniques required to use all that big power and grip

Nice video, and learning to ride a small bike fast isnt the easiest after the power of a big powerful bike, small track lots of different turns and to be able to check the data so you can see the results would be awesome, then to have one of the fastest riders to explain it all to you, what a great day cheers to you both been a big fan of Ant West for many years

Awesome video and very timely for me. I am 45 and I have been riding my old Ducati 998 on the road for years. Then I realized I had no idea what I was doing, so I recently picked up a YCF 125. Ive been training in parking lots once or twice a week on the little bike and going to the local karting track. At first, my ego was reluctant to try such a small bike, but I cant put into words how much Ive learned. But of course, I still have a long way to go as I am far from mastering the 125.

most of my mates agree that the best fun we ever had was riding smaller bikes, getting the most out of a 250cc bike, rather than having to constantly rein in the power on a big 1200cc machine, always watching out for the speedo and your driving licence I went to a bike rally a couple of years, and two guys turned up on Honda 90cc cubs with huge grins on their faces - full throttle all the way apparently !! They decided to leave the Triumph Speed Triple and the GSXR at home for that weekend - no regrets

My friend at this age going to 150cc is meaningless, you have to accept the eventuality that you've missed it in the right time, and you will never be a MotoGP rider. Never this bike will make you any faster at this age with larger bikes. More than you will get slower after that bike, mark my word. Don't do 150cc at 40+ or you're going to be as slow as a snail. The truth is that at this age larger bikes like 1000cc and faster circuits will make you faster to the limit that you actually can do at this age but going backwards at 40+ is absolutely a waste of money. You can't turn life back. At first it will feel like you've learnt something but this is not going to make you any faster with the larger bikes.
