Yeah, if you watch closely he literally sends the scvs backwards and then he blames the loss on the AI and "protoss" Artosis is a joke and he makes the community look bad when he whines like this. People watch him to laugh at him in this type of spot, not because he's good.

Exactly. It's very clear to see the misckick on the video: the 2 SCVs are selected and he explicitly orders them to move back. Very sad that he blames the game so often for things he does my himself.

Select both SCVs at the ramp and press H to hold position, it ain't that hard. Artosis always jokes about attack move players but here we see him doing it with both SCVs and marines selected at the ramp ffs, then proceeds to select only workers, attack move behind and calls it a 'glitch'. Isn't he self aware about these grossly bad micro? Guess not!

Oh, his micro is terrible. How many clips have there been of him losing units and games because of his shit control? If you can't adapt to the game's pathing and other quirks, then maybe he should play a game more suitable to his skill level.

Don't be too harsh, he's been playing this game only twenty years.

I would leave in things like that but 'dead spaces' in videos make people click off, and the less of a video that people watch, the less KZfaq will recommend your videos as they're rated as 'less engaging' :)

@@MrFlytoskyyy2 he still missmicro’d - he ordered the SCV’s to move away. Its literally his own fault that he wasn’t able to stop the protoss harass.

@@omegastar19 i didn't argue that artosis did everything perfect. You'd know what i actually argued if you read through my post.

@@MrFlytoskyyy2 You can't issue a hold position command to scvs but when you have scvs and fighting units both selected, the hold position command actually makes the scvs and fighting units (marines) hold position. But in this case, Artosis didn't have the time to get into position because he was caught by surprise and made some mistakes in micro.

The SCV that bounced was never in the position it needed to be in to begin with, but Arty should have held position on everything and then micro'd the 1 SCV that was out of place with right-clicks.

This is NOT what happened here. Watch again. He gave the move order while both SVCs were selected, and they backed off. It was pure user error.

@@julealgon It was an attack-move order. I did notice that he selected a bad target location, but didn't focus on it because attack-moving at all was already a mistake, regardless of target. For instance, at 0:22 you can see him give a regular move order that is down and to the right, but because the SCV can't reach the target location: it responds by moving up. He may have made things even worse for himself by attack-moving in the wrong direction, but even doing it in the "right" direction is likely to have a similar result and let the zealots in. My point is, he shouldn't be using these kinds of commands at all, and instead be using some combination of Stop, Hold Position (with marines selected), or right-clicking spaces that are directly adjacent to the SCVs to micro-manage their position. Never rely on pathing to hold a ramp.

@@jackcristo1628 that is not what causes the SCVs to bounce. At :23 you see him try to drag select the marine in the top left of the screen but he misses. Then he right clicks on a spot to the left of the ramp. Because the SCVs are still selected, they move where he wanted the marine to go. His point about Protoss still holds because they get to put on risk free pressure and one small mistake by Terran can lead to the game falling apart, but this was his mistake. Artosis shouldn’t be bitching about the units glitching

@@jackcristo1628 I already read it. You’re ignoring what I and julealgon said. The attack move causes the SCVs to bounce a little but they’re still in position. At 0:22 the SCV has turned around and faced the zealots again after bouncing a little. At 0:23 he gives both SCVs a move command that he has intended for the marine. That’s what allows the zealots in

SC2 units controlling too well results in them clumping in a ball. Learning to work with the path-finding is a skill in and of itself. Also in this case, Artosis misclicked and actually commanded the SCV's to move back when he wanted to control the marines. It's his fault.

While it does create problems, it also makes for more strategically interesting games. SC2 becomes deathballs BECAUSE units are just so easy to control into a big group. While because BW is limited to 12 units and getting things around is difficult, fighting becomes much more spread out which makes the whole map into a battlefield instead of just one area. Which is kinda cool.
