It doesn’t look like garbage. You’re going through a transition. I find that SOME audiophiles can be exhausting and snarky. They look to troll folks about their setups as if they paid for it. They are so easily triggered. Takes the fun out of the audio experience. As long as you enjoy it, that’s all that matters.

I used to have my speakers on wooden stools. One of which was thrown in the trash by my neighbor & I snagged it. Didn’t care. I LOVED my setup! I ain’t laughing at anybody!! Looks good to me. 👍🏼

My first thought was you did the best with the space you had and it probably sounds better than it looks. Myself needs a larger room for my 7.2.4 klipsch/svs setup, but nothing i can do ATM. Wanted a dedicated room added to my house, but couldn't find anyone i trusted for the contract. Called local high end shop who straight said their contractor retired and no one since has done work they feel comfortable endorsing. Co worker had a guy that built a nice room add on for him, but unfortunately that gentleman stopped doing projects that large. People only talk 💩 to compensate for their own insecurities, glad you took it as well as you did.

Not quite sure what you are going through but you continue to do what you love no matter what. So mad respect there. Ignore the comments and stay strong man. I've followed you from the beginning and clearly not many folks commenting have. You can show how to start from ground zero even though you aren't really at "ground zero" so to speak. One of the great things about this hobby is that we all have to start from somewhere gain knowledge get better and grow of course watching channels I'm following Channa and the daily Hi-Fi group of guys has allowed me to grow at rapid pace. Great thing about this is that it should be fun rapidly selecting all the components that you probably denied yourself or you learned which direction to go for your next system, Happy holidays and Cheers!

Hang tough dude. When I went through my separation I went from a 5 bedroom with a garage to a 500 sq ft one bedroom with a enclosed porch converted to a mud room & bathroom and no garage on a citrus avocado farm. It was quite the shock but I survived and my kids loved it after they got over me not being at home everyday

Hey Chana. Welcome to the world of many of our living rooms.😄. I guarantee you that there are a lot stranger setups out there. Seriously though, you're at an age where making a major lifestyle change, while difficult, can and should be done. I can tell you based on experience that once you become "someone of a certain age", this kind of a dramatic change becomes way beyond difficult so do what you need to do for yourself and your family and if people don't like it well it's pick a finger time (and not a thumbs up)😊

People are always going to criticize no matter how nice your setup is. I get criticized for running separates and running everything with XLR. They tell me to sell my gear and go with a soundbar 😂 I’ve learned a lot from watching your videos so screw those fools.

My system is always moving around because I like trying out new things. I looked up and realized I had two additional speaker pairs sitting by my TV just waiting for their turn to swap in. I guess an outsider might say mine looks like a mess too...but it's my mess and I enjoy it so who cares. The facebook responses were generally too mean, there seemed to be some folks willing to give you some good constructive criticism if you were looking for it.

hahaha, i can only imagine what people would have said to what i did in highschool. one onkyo 5 channel receiver and i hooked up about 10 speakers. mostly theater in a box small speakers but still, lol. it was a small room. damn, did my friends and I had a blast playing halo and halo 2. great times!

Well... To start - You know more about all of this than most of us will ever know. My first system was a LOT worse than yours (4-channel stereo). - You have to start somewhere. I don't know your backstorey, but a fresh start is an open door - Good luck, and PEACE! ♥

I bought the spatial calibration cd but Im not sure how to use it vs the built in marantz calibration program. Seems like the same thing?

The main reason to use our disc is the internal pink noise of your Marantz does not engage Dolby Atmos, which is what you will want to make sure all settings are correct. We have created multiple tutorials on how to use the sections. hello, for auro3d setup would you recommend height speakers to be placed inline with the front speakers or further apart like 50cm. also I saw a video where you used a denon x4400h, can I use that for auro3d and upmix or do I need an 4700 ?

Yes...in line with the front, but if you can't, you can't. You can use an X4400H

If that is the final placement spot for the entertainment area, what are your thoughts on switching the towers out for bookshelf speakers? Gives you much more freedom for placement. In a small, open room like that one, so long as you're sub is correctly placed, you really aren't sacrificing a whole lot in sound quality.

I was about to buy the spatial audio tool kit and read a review where someone said the disc wouldn't play in his Panasonic DP-UB820 which is the blu ray player I just ordered. Im not sure why he was having that issue though have you heard of other ppl having the same issue?

Hi Brian! The physical disc will play in your UB820. It’s the digital version that does not play on the Panasonic players. If you ordered the disc, you are good to go!

A long time ago in the galaxy i had a bose home cinema system, lifestyle v25. On the internet, a hifi forum group everyone hated bose. But when i had family or friends visiting they asked me what speakers i had because it sounded so well...so everything is relative. I watch movies in my livingroom, i have the speakers there my dali in the same colour as furniture and it's still a livingroom but with great sound for movies and music. Your atmos mixes works great with a 5.1.4 system. Also had help from,with the spatial disc 😊

You also have to watchout for these KZfaq review channels because I have learned that if you say something negative about a manufacturer or brand you get roasted. As far as your "setup" is concerned? Hi Mike! Thank you for the kind words. So the disc will help you calibrate your system manually. This is better than auto calibration because it's engaging Atmos while doing the calibration. Meaning all your settings are affecting the overall experience and if there's a setting that's wrong, you will find out by using our disc. We have tutorials on how to use it, but there is a bit of a learning curve - technodad.biz/SACTTUTJNT

Well, the Auro-3D height speaker layout is still superior to Atmos's recommended specs and the Auro Up-Mixer does great work with bad Atmos mixes. Some people just don't want to face facts, that's all.

Ha! I'm good over here. My wife is awesome! If you're a complete person, and your partner is a complete person, then you don't NEED to be together. Then it becomes a matter of WANTING to be together. I think that's the key. Too many people look for a partner to solve their problems. That will never happen. You gotta fix your own issues first, otherwise you'll just attract someone with their own issues looking to you to fix them. I'm not perfect, and neither is my wife, but we accept each other for who we are. And we shook on it, so the deal is final! 😉
