I like watching KZfaq livestream because i despise the Twitch app. im one of those weirdos who watch streams on fire tv, and the Twitch app is slow and crap to use, but i understand im an outlier for how people watch gaming streams.

Carci, you can delist your VODs and then put them in a playlist on your channel.

I’m fine with this. I only engage with your completed challenge runs (no damage, knife only, etc) I noticed the streamers, saw that they’re generally titled “practice”. I might take a peek, but in general I’m just interested in the completed commentated content. You’re the only KZfaqr who does it like this, and I really appreciate the level of verbosity you use too.

Carci, been with you for awhile (2017-ish) now. You are exactly right about it dividing your viewers. Sometimes I watch on KZfaq and the experience has been lacking. Much better community engagement on Twitch, and the exclusivity on the source actually draws more attention from me to join and engage then it does when I happen to be on KZfaq watching whatever, seeing you have a live stream up randomly (I never follow your schedule, I just lean on the twitch notifications), and then I just watch for like 30 mins and get distracted or tempted to just watch more KZfaq videos. So I also end up giving you less viewership time on YT. Cheers! Very concise and well thought out messaging here.

I thought this was a very well explained and needed clarification. Thank you, sir. It must sound stupid, but I didn’t even know that Twitch allowed you to watch previously streamed content. Every time I’ve tried to use the site to look for content from anyone, I am bombarded with those active at the moment which reinforces the need for this video because we should be supporting over there.

I imagine a lot of people are like me and came to the channel fairly recently, binged everything but then they thought "WHY NO VIDEO EVERY WEEK" and then found streams to be inadequate in comparison. Ain't hard to pay attention folks. Consider how many hours these runs take, which can take multiple attempts to perfect and then even more time to commentate, for every single game.

I love the commentated runs you do of all the games, cannot get enough of them. The live stream VODs are ok but i prefer the classic vids.

I appreciate both the honesty and the education on how/why everything was the way it was. As someone who typically watches your full youtube videos and only occasionally pops into you twitch when i have time, it was pretty frustrating only seeing streaming vods over and over in my subscriptions. Your channel is also the ONLY channel i have notifications turned on for, and seeing that bell and being "disappointed" that it wasn't an actual video made me just stop paying attention to the notifications entirely after a while. As always, thanks for your hard work Carci. I already said on one of the last streams that if you had to shift, then it would be no problem. Shifting to Twitch now has me watching others like MattDaRoc when you aren't live. Love all your videos that you put out, your Ocarina of Time no damage was one of the first videos I watched from start to finish and kept wishing there was more. Do whatever you need to do, as you'll always have my support.

Cant you use a second channel on yt just as a mirror of livestreams? Many have the same problem with the vods clogging a channel so they stream on a second one

I've definitely been someone who came to your lifestreams and was active a lot, but now, I don't have much time to watch everyone stream that i wish i could, there's just so many people streaming fun content. So i subscribed here to still check out vods during work or downtimes while i'm gaming and not watching someone stream. And since i didn't click on any of your streams, KZfaq has actually stopped putting you videos in my sub box consistently, even if i usually check out "proper" videos. I think seperating KZfaq and Twitch is a good choice. I have also ben enjoying the shorts. 👍

You are correct. I sub'd for the post-commentary, but I keep seeing these livestreams and I don't care about those. Good luck figuring it out! I've seen some channels have a YT channel for streams and a YT channel for the other content. Not sure if that's working for them or not, but I've seen it. **Also, you should do a post-commentary as gay-carci.

Thank you for uploading this video Carci. I will be 100% honest and say that I was one of your long time viewers how got a bit confused about all the streams. A stream on occasion is fine, but I was attracted to your work with the playthroughs and commentary. I have been very fond of your "B" channel too, especially things such as your 2016 and 2019 Resident Evil marathons where there was a bunch of uploads of "raw" streams. For me it's also about time. When you upload the "classic" Carci videos, I somehow find it easier to find a time and place where I can sit and relax after a long week or the like. Looking forward to what you come up with in the future, I'm sure it will be good. Keep pushing man, you do great work

I actually never noticed this happening because I got so far behind on videos and just enjoy re watching certain games from time to time 🤣. But you could possibly either have a 2nd channel for live streaming so that the VODs stay off the main channel which willl remove confusion or just unlist the VODS and add them to a playlist. I am not a content creator so I have no idea how cumbersome that is but either way I love the content 😃.
