Freakyclown (or "FC") is a professional physical penetration tester, and has probably robbed more banks than history's most infamous thieves. He shares some wild stories of snatching gold bars, stealing a helicopter, and hacking government buildings, all in the name of stronger security.

Yes FC, I met you about a decade ago in Preston at uclan when you did a talk for the game programming class about what you do and later a class you tried to teach. You invited me to a dinner with some of the other students and I always regretted not going and chatting with you some more. I ended up getting a degree in network security and ethical hacking and now work for the NHS. Just want to say thank you. You literally changed my path in life for the better

21:45 Omg, this is such a dead give away of "Yes, I did." because if he never worked for them he would just say no. This is like the whole situation around putting alcohol in a paper bag thing. It's the best way to conceal that it is alcohol if you drink it in public, but it also makes it completely obvious that you are drinking alcohol because who just puts a bottle of fruity juice in a paper bag and drink it from the bag? The bag conceals, but it also reveals. I guess a better answer would be "Yes, but I can't speak of anything I did there for obvious reasons."

If you need to get out, but have to show ID in order to do so, there's always the fire alarm :) Seems to me like the European country with all the cameras and strange language was the Netherlands and that the place was something like the Amsterdam Internet Central or some government building in Den Haag. Relying on camera systems will make the security inside the place much more relaxed and that may not be a good thing.

Also, I’ve worked in buildings under martial law, high security buildings (where I lost my pass for a month), and even visited buildings under USA regulations for arms manufacturers. In the last, I was caught by security at one point and escorted back to the front. Front office comment was “but that’s just Jack!”. I never had malicious intent, so it was just fun to try how far I could push it. Hobbies are great! Also, it’s very different for people that security/staff are used to seeing vs a stranger.
