It is SO common to neglect bodily functions. Tmi, but at sleepaway camp when I was like 10 or 11, I didn't poop for 11 days because I don't like when other people hear me go to the bathroom. I definitely learned my lesson after that!

I also withhold from using the bathroom when I’m doing tasks like homework, dishes, cooking, laundry, etc because I use it as a reward system/ punishment. So when I get the job done I allow myself to use the bathroom if not I have to suffer.

Ok the not going to the bathroom thing I think stems from teachers in school withholding going, needing a pass or to finish an assignment, I think it sets up a reward system that we grow up desiring the bathroom to be a place we need some sort of permission to go to ; for example, I’m always needing to “finish” a task before rewarding myself with a bathroom break

OKAY CONFESSION. When I was younger I would not pee when I needed to bc I wanted to control when I peed and not when my body told me to. Now, I hold it all in bc it motivates me to get my task at hand done quicker (usually hw assignments and emails), and then I allow myself to take a break/use the bathroom

24:10 is a very common sign of both ADHD and Autism especially in children. It’s due to their rigidity and sometimes the inability to understand the feeling of needing to go. They also might have discomfort in the bathroom with constipation and it can cause them to subconsciously avoid the toilet at all costs due to an underlying fear of it being painful.

I avoid the bathroom for the same reasons as you, Alyx! And it’s usually peeing that I’m avoiding more than #2. I did it as a kid too and would tell my mom it was annoying to interrupt what I’m doing for it.

to the person who was stalked by that couple, all i'm saying is that you can press charges even right now. banning them / firing them doesn't serve you justice or peace at all what they did to you was super illegal and not to mention traumatic. i hope you get a therapist or at the very least someone to confide in if you're still shocked by what happened. i hope this experience doesn't discourage you from going to the gym though, being healthy is great for your mind. i hope that they are okay and will be able to move on eventually

(About prioritizing everything before using the bathroom) i work in housekeeping at a hotel and I never take breaks which also includes never using the bathroom lol. Literally I’ll go through like a 9 hour shift and not use the bathroom until I’ve gone home lolzzzz

I will hold off on going to the bathroom if I'm working, usually either because I'm hyperfocusing on something and just don't notice until I really need to go, but sometimes I just incentivise it like "If I complete this chapter, I can go" or "do this task then you can go", it's like rewarding myself for staying focused by being able to go piss 😂 I think it's a neurodivergent thing though??? My friends and I have had this conversation before and everyone who said they did this was either on the autistic spectrum, or had ADHD.

I feel guilt at work if I stop to go to the bathroom. I work as a dispatcher so someone has to cover. I can step away for like 5 min and the place won’t burn down but I feel so bad lmao. I always have prioritized what I’m doing before using the restroom lol. Even as a kid. That is a a super interesting point you’ve brought up. I’d like to know that psychological explanation. I’m sure there’s a correlation between personality types and not going to the bathroom when you need to hahaha

Yeah same. My week has been bad because I'm sick with the flu or something like that. Whatever dumb bug I caught. It's so frustrating because I want to work on getting the house ready for the holidays and I don't feel good at all and have like no appetite which really sucks. as a gay guy whos been into feet since i was like a kid, its really important to just communicate it to your partner. i had to come to terms with the fact that the only way for me to meet other dudes who were into feet was to be open about it. you’ll soon realize there are A LOT of people who r into feet. some because of smell, cuz size, cuz shape, its wild. honestly people r into so many crazy stuff and this is absolutely not the craziest thing at all.
