The Suit has surprisingly grown on me since it's reveal. I'm not crazy about it but I dont think it's the worst anymore. It definitely looks better than the man of steel suit

I see where you are coming from Jody. the suit for me is baggy, i get that the suit will be more functional and comfortable especially during the fight scenes. but i'm sure the costume designer could of made more muscle definition because David is jacked. But they are definitely using special effects/cgi to make the suit fitted, and make it look more seamless on the actor in post production.

Henry Cavill's suit was great, when it comes to the designs. The blue color was too dark for me. It didn't stand out good in the sunshine, even when dirty.

lol that is not all, Superman in the comics nowadays they have added much more abilities. Superman can now travel through time, do a sun flare, interstellar teleportation lol like bruh. In one comic he said that space and time has lost its meaning for him, meaning you can't get rid of him lol. comic writers are making sure superman is OP with no equal and no one to stop him.

I don't know if anyone remembers how things were 20+ years ago, but in my older observation, the internet has turned us all into a bunch of brats that hyperfocus on any little thing we don't like or don't fully understand, we jump to conclusions it spreads negativity and it kills excitement and joy. If this film were releasing 20 years ago without it being posted everywhere on social media we'd be beyond stoked and thankful the film was being made. We now profit off of drama and misinformation, it's truly disheartening. Superman is soo much more than a suit. My opinion is I've felt more true superman vibes from a few set photos than I ever felt from the Cavil era. I also feel Cavils suit looks far too alien, which added to the alienated from humanity feeling I had with his portrayal. He also failed to convey any "warmth" with his superman, and I think he looks "skeezy/sleezy" compared to David.

Jody, I respect your opinion, but I think you’ve been overdramatic because you’re looking at a suit. That’s not how the director intended to look you have to see the finished product. I say love it for the most part, I have very little issues with it if you’re gonna twist my arm and I have to make a change is the S but I didn’t have no issues. I’m just happy that the trunks are back and the S on the cape what makes me like the suit the most James is using each part of the costume that represents each era of the character like the S4 Kingdom Come the collar for the new 52 and the lines on the suit and other things I think it’s very cool and clever at the end of the day I just want this film succeeded right now. DC films are like the New York Jets and when Aaron Rodgers went into the team, that’s like James Gunn going to DC films just fans are desperate and wanted to make it work and that’s how I feel about DC films. I want to make it work as much as possible. I’m at a certain age now where I’m not getting any younger so I really hope this success makes money, but if social media is any indication, this movie will not make money because you cannot please everyone.

The Guardians and Cap trilogies are the two best trilogies in the MCU (not including any Avengers movies). But Gunn is the only one to write AND direct an entire trilogy, and that trilogy was an undisputable success.

I don't get why people are in two minds- you either want James Gunn to take a risk or you want him to stick to classics. You cant have both. You are saying both things in the same video. If you have a personal problem with James Gunn thats different, but you have to be objective about his movie. I still say the CGI is going to fix the suit up to a watchable status. As long as the movie and story is solid then I'm good. James does have a lot riding on this so we'll see if he can deliver a solid Superman film. Just give me a teaser trailer and then I'm even more ready for the film. #DCRISE🦸

Im gona say somethin out there and crazy BUT hear me out! Someone needs to try and do a sleeveless muscle superman suit. Think about it, superman is basically invincible and impervious to pain except wit Kyptonite. So why have sleeves covering his arm and muscles? Imagine how alpha and beast e would look with a suit not covering his arms. Think of a Brock Lesnar or Chris Hemsworth or John Cena in a superman suit with no sleeves showing of the arms, just think and envision that. It would probably be way better than what this is and something new that could work. I wish it was a drawing or animation of that visual to show my point.

Well, the suit doesn't make the movie. Remember four years ago now when The Batman suit reveal video and on set photos came, there was tons of hate going around, everyone was saying it was gonna be the worst, but when the teaser trailer came everyone started praising The Batman.

Everything 1:40:00 to the end had me rolling 😂😂😂 that was some OG Jody's Corner content. Guardians is the second best MCU trilogy though. This is the 3rd worst Superman suit after The Man Of Steel & Snyder Cut suits. Clark Kent should not have that curly hair. Too differentiate, Clark Kent should have regular hair & onlt have his hair slicked to the right when he's Superman like Brandon Routh did in Superman Returns.

I'll withhold judgement until I see it in an actual trailer at least. Overall, I like the suit but I dislike that they went with the New 52 piping and the fit looks rough in these shots. I just didn't like the New 52 design as much as others. Some angles this suit actually looks great, others not so much. So a good chunk of the problem could be just that we're seeing fan photography as opposed to what ends up on the screen. But in terms of elements, I like everything but the jacket. I like the "S," I like the "S" on the back, I like the colors, I like the trunks. All that said, Superman isn't just his suit. Corenswet himself looks more like the character than anyone since Reeve.

5:38 People have normalized "post production" as if it's a given that you'll have an extra 20-30,000,000.00 dollars lying around to do $hit that should have been done during that ACTUAL PRODUCTION. Post production used to be about fine tuning and creative editing to turn a B-movie into a blockbuster. Not redoing half the friggin movie. Most productions didn't have "Re-shoots" because they had to stay under a tight budget. I'm still in shock over Gunn. They swore that he was a comic superfan that loved and respected the source material. I guess DC stands for DON'T CARE I'm waiting to hear about JOKER 2 The Musical. That's been pretty quiet.

@@sciexdeus8687 Also, your point about Supergirl doesn't add up since Gunn announced the Supergirl movie a year and half ago, while Kara only just showed up in MAWS this season a couple weeks ago. He didn't base his script or costume/ production design on MAWS. Both Gunn and MAWS are drawing influences from similar well-established Superman comics. In terms of style, Clark's hair in both is clearly inspired by Grant Morrison's New 52. Both S emblems are similar to Alex Ross's Kingdom Come symbol with Gunn's being a direct homage but with the classic colors. The trunks design in both is like All-Star Superman. The Daily Planet characters are all classic staples in numerous comics runs going back decades. But Gunn's Lois Lane and Jimmy are the classic versions of their characters. Lastly, Gunn's Metropolis looks more like Superman the Animated Series (1992).

@@Mirakulus9 i agree in all of that too... but as i said previously i believe (i'm not sure) that it will be a lightahearted superman cartoon movie and not a classic inspired comicbook movie and we need that classic style...you have supergilrl, krypto,and other heroes in the same movie... all that screams a cartoon based movie that has everyone and everything together in the begining...we need to go step by step...i hope im wrog but i dought it...i also think that the design brings a little bit of MAWS not the elements that you said separately (and i agree that they are inspired by well established comics) but the overall felling of the costume and the actor in the suit and all the other things that i see makes me believe that this is not going ti be a film this is going to be a marvel style cartoon based movie... and again, i want a good movie, hope i'm wrong...

Jody I think you dont understand if kingdom come Superman was not interested in saving people anymore than look back to the first picture of Superman putting on the boots and he looked uninterested than this should show you that they are moving in this direction it all makes sense and you will be highly disappointed when you see this is not a Superman with hope I think he finds hope again is his angle.

I kind of agree with u about the suit, but at the same time I think in my opinion that James is going down the route of Martha making the suit for him. cap America is trash though, he even chose to benefit from iron man’s time travel and stay behind. Meanwhile iron man dies when he could been home safe with his family. Iron man is the real solder and MVP

That suit is 100% Trash. So you're right in the way you are feeling. But it is just funny to me because for over a year we've been hearing from you and your channel about how this movie is going to surpass Marvel by 2025 and how DCRises. Now that you're actually seeing what James is doing. DC isn't rising so much now is it lol.

I feel like the Trunks are just not working. Just like the Golden Era versions worked for that time. I think we are in a new era now. Anything from the animated series stuff or Zack Snyder series I think just works better. Primarily loosing the trunks. Just give us the solid blue body suit with some designs here or there and the Red Cape. That's it!

I highly agree about Joss and his cut. I wish he would've been in charge of DC over Gunn. I did not watch "his jl movie" until I heard all the complaints about it. I was shocked that I liked almost all the characters + loved the film better. The only thing I think Snyder did better was the final boss fight. I thought Joss' Steppenwolf fight was kind of lame like a TV show finale fight

It shouldn't be nobody from Marvel being CEO to be over nor writing, producing Or directing a DC movie, series, or anima. The anime movie that they have made imparts for Justice League drawings of the characters are lousy. Story lines are lousy as well and James Gunn is over it and he shouldn't be.
