Brother, you need to learn to meditate. look up Dr. Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden also Emily fletcher. kzfaq.info/sun/PLWb-6eE7dhsomBf3wYwadS92N1e64B_Ah your missing out. I meditate almost everyday some days i get up to early but mostly in the mornings. I also utilize Whim Hof's breathing exercises which in its self is Amazing. try it I do all it and it cost me nothing but time and I have recovered from a back injury i had since i use to do tricks on a skateboard I also was suffering from sharp pain in my hips and now all of is gone I have no stress nor do I worry, its life changing once you apply yourself, you really have to want it otherwise you will get board. Cannabis is perfect for helping one maintain focus and patience when mediating. I speak from experience, Cannabis when used for this purpose is key. like I said earlier I cure my pain and discomfort.

@Hermetic7
@Hermetic7 4 жыл бұрын
Timothy Nyota - He means noise cancelling headphones add more noise. What they do is analyze all the existing noise and emit frequencies that are the exact negative waveforms of the existing noise. As the existing noise changes, the negative waveform frequency changes to match. So, even though the ear is actually taking in more frequencies, they are cancelling each other out so the ear isn’t able to perceive the noise. True silence is the absence of all noise frequencies, positive and negative.

OrangeyAvocado Dimethyltryptamine - a chemical naturally released in the brain at death.. but MOSTCHEDDA is referring to the synthesised drug, typically smoked, or derived from plants and orally consumed (Ayahuasca), that causes wild trips/dreams/outer dimensional experiences(?) and usually lasts 10-15 minutes (smoked).. or hours (drank). I’m no expert but I hope I got that right. Sounds about right. Ha. I’ve watched a few videos. it intrigues me! Hopefully someone can correct me if I’m wrong.

@CoryTheSimmons
@CoryTheSimmons 5 жыл бұрын
I realized the value of silence several months ago. I'm a programmer who works from home and realized listening to heavy metal or rap made solving hard problems more difficult, so I started listening to that lofi crap... then I just got bored of pretty much all music and was like "fuck it, I'll just turn it all off" and suddenly I was popping off. I started working through the night specifically because the daytime was so loud (with kids, neighbors, cars driving by, people knocking, etc.) and was getting a ton of quality work done. Unfortunately I also stayed up all day out of necessity (kids, meetings, etc.)... And now I'm pretty sure I did permanent damage to my brain by doing this for a couple months. But yeah, nowadays I frequently wish I was actually deaf-deaf and will frequently wear noise-cancelling headphones with absolutely no sound coming from them (doing this right now actually), just to make the world stfu a little. I'm pretty sure society sucks more than it's good. You and your wife should do a "Walden Challenge" and find a cabin or something to live in for 30 days where you have to farm honey and go fishing and such... Stare at the stars and getting eaten up by bugs and all that.

It's kind of funny but when I spent a month in the amazon jungle the noise animals, birds and especially insects constantly are making was the equivalent of living next to a freeway.

Great stuff. Exciting to see the care for silence, noise reduction etc. starting to get awareness! 👍🏼 I am a musician since 45 years and a sound engineer since 30 years. I could never do homework or similar stuff while music was playing. It always absorbed too much attention so I couldnt concentrate. Vice verca I can concentrate 100% on my work, if the work is music ;-) I also started using earplugs a few years ago. I adore the silence so much I even added sound protection headphones so I had 2 times 28 db noise reduction. Listening to the inner body sounds might need a bit of time to get used to it, but I consider it really enjoyable. It always puzzled me why people pay much more attention to visual "noise" (dirt, untidy rooms etc.) than to acoustic noise or bad acoustics or how people can spend "relaxing time" in loud restaurants etc. ... well, we are all unique characters ;-) .... side note: SO funny to see her toes going crazy at 8:37 😂

This makes a lot of sense to me, I seem to have significant hearing gain and stress relief in the fall because i spend an average of 5 to 6 hours every day in the woods hunting, where the majority of the time it is very quiet almost silent. I kinda just thought I was crazy but this makes me realize, I may have been onto something there XD

I wear ear plugs all the time on the bus, walking down the street, in the movies, in the grocery. People think I’m weird but I know it improves my mental health.

Toronto is LOUD!!! Every restaurant, bar etc you go to seems to want to blast music at you. I've been craving silence a lot lately. I'm glad you found this was helpful for you. I might try out Float. I've been apprehensive as I thought it was a smaller container...like of coffin. lol. I get a little claustrophobic.

I am watching this video without sound as i do not want to wake up my dad. I can imagine the sound when the keyboard is being tapped and the cars, pedestrians walking. my brain "created" these sounds to fill in the gap not to mention the voice as i read the subtitles.

I think being able to focus in on a task and be productive with it helps my mind block out any anxiousness or stress most of the time. It’s definitely a trial and error process, but I find nothing is better for combatting anxiety than locking on in on something you enjoy.

I sit in silence almost every day for about an hour or more (for now, when university starts back up, that's going to be a different story) and I think it ultimately comes down to breathing and simply being cognizant of your surroundings which circles back to the term called mindfulness. It wasn't anxiety-inducing but when I started this 'practice' I did struggle with turning off my thoughts. It wasn't easy but that's why I meditate, and eventually, as each day passed, I trained my brain and myself to just be calm and relax. Naturally, I am a quiet person who loves to read (bookworm) and so for those who are the exact opposite, for instance, who get bored quite easily and cannot sit still for the life of them, I encourage them to just simply be and just be grateful that they have the ability to just breathe and exist in the present moment. Aside from that, being in a state of silence is so hard for many to do nowadays because of the constant noise, activities, and social media one fills themselves up with. I am someone who is prone to sensory overload and just existing in silence has been a game-changer for me, mentally and emotionally.
