My twin with the same name 😁❤ how do I prepare myself, my kids dad and our family for this? Our 2nd to youngest told my youngest daughter a few months ago in which she told me after. It didn't hit me til after our son told his dad last month and I saw he worry in his eyes. I know I told him after I found out but he has selective hearing and we just lost our home and had to split our family apart by having the younger boys go stay with their mom. (Kids dad was a single dad of his last 3 kids. We just got back together 2 yrs ago after 22 yrs). Sorry I went all over on this comment. I am the parent that loves that our kids want their own space to grow but deep inside I wanna keep all 6 kids home or at least neighbors. Daddy is the type that he rather all our kids live at home forever. So it hit him kinda hard.

Y'all. I gotta tell you Keith, sir: thank you from the absolute depths of my soul for your service. I wanted to be a Marine for as long as I can remember. I have a disability and couldn't serve. There was a recruiter that came to my high school when I was a senior. I told him I knew what would happen to me because of my disability and I didn't care. I just wanted to serve. I thought if I was put in front of somebody else that that might be one less mama's son coming home in a box. Please let me know if you ever come to MN so I can buy you a drink. God bless.

Dustin (??), I watched your face the entire time. I’ve seen your reaction to some of the other songs that you’ve reacted to about domestic violence and children being abused and I can tell the kind of man that you are. More importantly, I’m guessing you have fought for our country. I watched your face and it touched my heart. My grandfather was in 3 wars. He was in the 82nd airborne and when his knees gave out he went into the Air Force. The Warriors didn’t kill him but the alcohol did. I remember growing up and us being told that we couldn’t touch my grandpa when he was sleeping because he could kill us. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to be the wife of a military man. God bless you both for doing these reactions. I know you’ve had a hard time with some of the first ones you’re doing because they tugged at y’all’s heart. Let me assure you that I appreciate you doing this songs.

I'm glad you finally did a Tim McGraw song. Another great Tim McGraw song is "Humble and Kind" or one that he did with his wife Country Legend Faith Hill is "Speak To a Girl" that would be a really good song from the 2 of them for you to react to. Still waiting for you to react to a Brad Paisley song, a couple great ones are: "He Didn't Have To Be", "I'm Gonna Miss Her", "Whiskey Lullabye" which is a duet with Allison Kraus, or "When I Get Where I'm Going" which is a duet with Dolly Parton.

Talked to my Son yesterday. He is a Sargent first class in an Artillery Unit. They are in the California Desert for a Month having War Games. I could tell how upset he was about Afghanistan . He did Three tours over there. One in Baghdad, also Kandahar and Kabul. He was so Proud of what he did over there. We used to send Pencils, Pens, Coloring books and Crayons 🖍. It was him and his Men’s Honor to give them to the Children. I also have a Son in the Navy he’s a Chief Warrent Officer. He did the same things while on the Four ships traveling the World. The thing that pisses them off the Most is all the Time spent training Afgans to defend themselves, and they Just gave up. I told them both their deeds done for their Country is and will always be Appreciated by their families, Friends and their Country 🇺🇸. It’s our Responsibility to let all who served know we are all Proud of them. God Bless from Oregon ✌🏼☮️😎

John Michael Montgomery's Letters From Home is the one that always got me. My Daddy would send me a box every week when I was deployed and make sure it was full of goodies for my troops and I. Yeah. Tough stuff. Rock has some stuff along these lines too. I'd recommend checking out Alice in Chains "The Rooster." It's a song from the point of view of guitarist Jerry Cantrell's dad, whose nickname was "The Rooster." He was an M60 gunner in Vietnam. Those guys had a very short life expectancy in a firefight. What made me think of it, are these lines: "Walkin' tall machine gun man | They spit on me in my homeland | Gloria sent me pictures of my boy" Those pics from family mattered.

I LOVE this song, however it is bitter sweet for my family as this was played for the first time the same day we learned that our son (all our kids friends became family) died in Iraq with 3 other souls by a roadside I E D. 15yrs later and this still takes me back to that day. God bless all our soldiers and their families for all they sacrifice. SEMPER Fi !

Coming from a military family and background this song always gets to me. Out of 4 uncles my grandfather my brother and my father all came home safely. Ive had friends that did and some that did not. One great song is by Alan Jackson ( where were you when the world stopped turning. ) its about 9/11. Any American that remembers this day can relate to this song.

They DESERVE our tears....my husband served in the Military for 20 years and thankfully came home (although he passed away 3 weeks ago, taking both my heart and soul with him. We were married 48 years, although he was only 69 when he left me). If you want to watch a real life film about our Military coming home watch the movie "Taking Chance" starring Kevin Bacon. You'll learn a lot about Honoring our Military. To those that have served as well as those now serving : Thank you for your sacrifices....

I grew up on rock and roll too. In my opinion the best music id rock from about the mid-70 to mid-80s. I joined the Army in 1990, which is where I, for the first time, had any real exposure to country music. I became a country music fan, though not all of it is music to my ears (so to speak). A few of my more sentimental favorites in country are much more recent than the early 90s. A couple others from Tim McGraw to check out are "Live Like You Were Dying" and "Humble and Kind". Others to check out are Brad Paisley's "He Didn't Have to Be" and one of my personal favorites (a duet with Alison Krauss) "Whiskey Lullaby". Also "The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery, as well as "Goodbye Time" by Blake Shelton. Now, I have to say, I am a big fan of Jack Daniels. I've tried a couple different single barrel, but never the rye. Also, they have a Sinatra Select Jack that I have really wanted to try, but can't find anywhere. One of these days...
