@@mehemynxm6974 Brand loyalty is fine, it’s the fanboyism that’s weird. Some kind of fusion of playground politics and attempt to justify the money spent. I wouldn't say it's brand loyalty all the time Nvidia market better and are more user friendly imo. It's a shame AMD can't seem to make the AMD software more accessible. When you plug in your GPU it should install adrenaline software and then give you a skippable tutorial for a new user. Instead you have to find answers on the likes of KZfaq

@@scampshrimpi5245 DDU is a software to remove all traces of the drivers of Nvidia or AMD from your PC, if you are changing GPU vendors. Is known that not doing that can cause driver conflicts, so when changing GPU vendors, always use DDU or the special driver remover tool, normally available on each vendor driver page. Uninstalling the drivers as normal is not enough. Thou I recommend seeing tutorials on youtube in how to use DDU safely, because if badly used it can remove more than it should.

Got a 6700XT, been more than happy with it, 2 years so far, no hiccups, no driver hangs and the GPU itself, hasn't failed, unlike my Nvidia, in fact, I seem to call in my 20 years of Nvidia and AMD flip flopping, Nvidias have failed, AMDs I replaced cos they were obsolete. Never had to RMA an AMD, and the 1070 was not first RMA either, I seem to remember doing it on a Ti4600 and 9600GT years ago too, yet my Radeon have always been bullet proof.

If I was rich I'd definitely give Intel Arc a try. But right now it's bound to be janky. Specs sound great though. And the high vram is definitely a plus. I was torn between Nvidia and AMD but I quickly realised that in workstation tasks it's a no brainer. Nvidia's encoders are just better than AMD on pretty much everything. Rendering with even CUDA is faster than an AMD equivalent card and with OptiX it's faster than an AMD card a whole tier or two above it. For gaming it's the other way round, except for dlss and RT. If you want to build a gaming PC that does nothing else, definitely go with AMD. (even with poorer RT performance I don't think AMD's price to performance can be beaten). For anything else, (sadly cause I dislike them) Nvidia.

My first GPU that I bought over 10 years ago was an amd 5770 juniper xt from Sapphire. Never understood the hate after switching to Nvidia myself. Great value for how long it lasted. Used it for nearly 5 years before I replaced it with an underwhelming 960 that cost me 50$ more than what I paid for the 5770. My brother used the 5770 for his minecraft and league gaming until it finally died on us 5 years after that. Best 150$ spent on a graphics card ever. For those who might question how it lasted so long, this was 720p gaming card, and my brother used a 720p monitor until the card died.

Hey... 52 and that is ALSO MY first graphic card I EVER got, was installed to a custom system that died in three months (sub par power brick). Then I made the mistake of trying to repair the system myself... Was A AMD 9 tower with the MOST expensive graphic card I could afford. I wanted to go ALL out at least ONCE in my life on a gaming system. Well replacement was a custom AMD 7 tower with integrated graphics on this AMD 7 CPU... Half the price as my blow out system then simply plugged in the graphic card from my new but DEAD system... FREAKING AWESOME! I STILL have the AMD 9 CPU that went with it and I believe the CPU is still in working order with all 16 cores being the monster it is but the AMD 7 CPU with only half the cores is nothing to sneeze at either. Also? Don't know why but my AMD 9 CPU was having problem staying cool even with the system at idle?!? I swapped out coolers on that note which DID make a big difference... but the system died anyways (sub-part power brick). The way I figured it? Integrated graphics on an AMD CPU wouldn't be bad. Was on the money on that note and if I plugged in an actual graphic card? Things would be sweater. Lets just say the graphic card was a bonus as I actually WASN'T used to playing games at 60 fps. But? I got spoiled FAST on that note! LMAO

After about 10 years using Nvidia GPUs I finally decided to give an AMD GPU a try. Super impressed with the cost to performance ratio! I won't lie though, I did get a bad first impression since the card would not display video even after a fresh install of Windows. My iGPU worked fine when I connected it to the motherboard, but when I connected it to the GPU it wouldn't display at all. Turns out my monitor firmware wasn't compatible with the GPU, I tried another monitor and viola! It's worked fine ever since. My next GPU is definitely going to be AMD until Nvidia can get their act together.

If you still like to play some older games and think a modern AMD should max out the settings and on some modern monitor like 4K 144hz then guess again. AMD chokes on older titles. All the extra modern GPU muscle goes extremely under utilized. My family likes to play a very old Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed as a PC type Mario Kart. Gtx1070/1080’s before had no issues running this old but still good looking game at 4K. Solid 60fps all the time. Now with 6600xt,6700xt or even a 6900xt the game runs like crap. DX12 games work good for AMD but older dx9,10 or 11 much of the time don’t. And while I get the terrible performance the gpu is barely running like 500-1000mhz clock speed as if something is holding them back or extreme power saving is occurring. I have 8x AMD Ryzen 5000 systems , I am no Nvidia fanboy. If you want to max out older titles don’t buy AMD. With that said even running ultra LOW settings does not help.

@@Dempig It's not all games but some real old ones for sure struggle to ramp up the power. There is something driver or optimization going on. I still play the 2013 Battlefield 4 which is DX11 and it runs pretty good BUT it has similar issues at times. I have a dedicated top monitor to watch my system stats and I will get dips in performance under my 142 FPS cap say to like 110fps and when I look at the GPU it's not even at 99-100% its like 60-80%. And I think why is my frames dropping lower while my card isn't even running max clock speed and fully utilized. I would get it if the game was so demanding that I was hitting only 110fps as an example but then I would expect to see my GPU at 99-100% utilized meaning the card is doing max effort to pump out frames. I see low frames in older games where the GPU isn't half asleep. It's weird. They are great bang for the buck cards but I was really disappointed when I replaced a bunch of 1070/1080 cards in my family rigs for $128 6600XT. Even my 6700XT and then 6900XT has the same issues. One thing worth noting though: On the topic of AI features, AMD does actually sell cards that work with Stable Diffusion and you can even use them for Large Language Models too, although they are marketed towards Corporate users and are branded AMD Instinct. You can get some of the older AMD Instinct cards used for fairly cheap around 100 bucks, and they absolutely rip through most home user's Stable Diffusion work.

When playing on a huge display, sitting quite close to it, you can see every pixel, so rather than particle effects etc it's more important to go high resolution and high textures and my card delivers. About 95% of the games I play this way I get stable 60FPS (my TV's refresh rate) and my GPU is using up 120-140W of power, so plenty of power to spare (I've seen it using max 180W). And I'm talking about 6700XT, 6750XT is going to be even better than that, but maybe a bit more power draw. I actually rather lowering the settings and turn on Radeon Chill (for example randering the game in 45FPS when not much is happening and 60FPS during action) so that I don't turn my PC into a space heater. I always used Nvidia cards but since I built my PC in 2019 using AMD card, I've been building them like that ever since, and I've built a couple of PCs for friends and family. Also, when looking at graphic cards benchmarks, make sure the video is quite recent with newest drivers. The cards got significantly faster since their release a couple years back. Some benchmarks from 2020 seems like 6700XT and RTX3070 are trading blows, but now 6700XT eats 3070 for breakfast.

XFX and Sapphire are the better ones, for that CPU, it would be more comfortable to get a 6700XT, but the 6800XT might do as good as it is!

I love this video and the time is up cuz i went from a rtx 2060 to a Rx 7700xt and I'm having a total blast. I couldn't understand the pricing range from nvidia that i went for amd. I still stream, record and increased my performance so much and still acess to av1 encoder. Plus i turn on Smart access memory with my ryzen 3700x and got even more fps for free.

So I gotta ask Vex, what are the memory hotspot temps at do you happen to know by chance? I've had two 5700s, one being an XT, and they run hot...quickly...lol. even on openbench.

I'm not sure what the driver complaint is anymore. I really like the info Adrenalin gives me. They had way more issues in the past but doing amazing job these days. I have less issues with my 7900XT then my 3090.

What a good video, I've enjoyed it very much! You give lots of info without drowning us in numbers, and you get a perspective which is closer to a real world buyer rather than a classical tech reviewer. This video simply grabs your attention more than the ones made of JTC, UFD, GN and so on. Don't get me wrong, I love those guys but sometimes I desire a format that is a bit different. This is the first video of you that I saw and I am not fully familiar with your videos but good first impressions. Keep up the good work!

I've had an Nvidia card in my computers for the past 20 years. I'm upgrading my 2060 to a 6750xt today and I'm really excited! Might even make a full switch eventually and get an AMD CPU for my next full build. Though looking at how much Intel Arc cards have improved over the past year it also looks attractive.

I'm looking at the intel arc as well, I really hope the drivers are safe enough for all of us to get our hands on them and enjoy any game we throw at it. I'm sure most non-AAA games will run fine, but I have an AMD build and it just seems easier to buy the native hardware for cheaper as opposed to the arc with double the vram, but is more expensive. Good luck with your amd build, there are currently cpu and motherboard bundle deals going for the am5 line to help if you ever wish to have a place to start.

Looking to upgrade my trusty GTX 1080 with the 6700. (would have gone with a 6650xt, but just PCIE 4.0 x8 won't fly well on my PCIE 3.0 mainboard.)

My friend sent me this video to show me the differences between RX and RTX. I have an RTX 3060 and I plan an upgrading soon but I use RTX in almost all of my games and I also want to be able to have decent performance with RTX. I just don’t know what card to specifically get.

I always go for the best price-performance. My history of Nvidia vs ATI/AMD since the TNT2 times is 6 GPUs from Nvidia, and 5 from AMD. But I think Nvidia has gone crazy, my next GPU is going to be AMD again.
